how do you disconnect the shift linkage where it’s connect to the tranny???
follow the bar that attaches onto the end of the shifter (underneath the car) and it leads towards the front of the car. it’s attached to the tranny by i believe a 14mm nut.
Pull the rubber dust boot near the tranny back, behind it there is a metal clip around the linkage , pull the clip off. Behind the clip there is a hole in that hole is a pin use a punch to push out the pin. After the pin is out you can pull the linkage free.
What cspeed said, only its a 12mm bolt.
I know… I busted the damn bolt on that exact spot…
Have fun with that bolt, too… I couldn’t get mine off

that liitle pin is a bitch, i ddin’t have a punch and busted alot of fingers, until me and my friend used a jack as a press and pressed it out, poped out easy. try it.
