Hey guys, i’m dying to replace my O2 sensor because my fuel mileage really sucks. Im just wondering where it is and how exactly to replace it (what tools do i need etc.). Details on where the O2 sensor is would be greatly appreciated
O2 sensor is stickin out of your exhaust manifold right on the front of your engine.
I won’t flame ya for it this time, but I’ll warn you that you should always try a search for your answer before you post, or you’ll get about 10 responses from pee’d off people sayin :search:
That will answer your questions on how to change it. Or maybe it’s in the Teg Tips… always check there too!
hehe thx, i was searching for everything except that, duh me i forgot. Hmm aren’t there a bunch of stuff sticking out of teh exhaust manifold? And where is my exhaust manifold? Any pics? :search:
Heres you a tip. So far i’ve changed three O2 sensors on Integras and on each one i’ve had to use a pry bar to wedge against the head of the ratchet to keep it straight. This will keep the socket squared on the sensor. It is also adviseable that you use a ratchet that you can get some leverage on cause that sucker is in there!!!
exhaust manifold? Any pics?
Comin straight out of the front of your engine. 4 tubes that connect into each other and head straight down. It has a heat shield on it… um… how else to describe… probably rusty
It’s right behind your radiator! and you’ll see the O2 sensor stickin out of the side of it with a wire on it… at least on a '90-91. If you have a 92-93, i think it’s further down?? Not sure on that though…
Yep, 92-93 would be under the car right in front of the catalytic converter.
alright cool, thx guys
