hydro swap..speedo?

So im still in the process of doing my jdm b16a swap with s4c hydro trans.
I am just curious as im re doing my harness right now. I have the sto k cluster in the car. And the speedo factory is a cable but my hydro trans is electronic. What are my options of getting my speedo to work with my current setup. Please do not say swap to a cable trans as this is what i have and im not dishing out another $700 for another clutch setup.

Is there a way to swap speed sensors between the s4c hydro trans and the s1 cable trans that i pulled from the car? Or what csn i do?

I’ve never really read this as a problem when people do the hydro swap…

I’d assume you use the OEM cable vss. Give it a shot and see if it fits.

Well i have not tried it. But i was just curious before i tried or did anythinv if i was going to run into a problem. Car is almkst there. Waiting on the Hush Performance DAV2 hydro conversion and the walbro pump, a few ic couplers and the bwr 4bar map senskr and should be good to go getting excited. Will be trailering the car down to one sixx local tuning shop and getting a retune. Then let it sit for another couole months until the snow stops and the majority of the salt is gone

I hear that… we just got 4" of fresh powder. I’m ready for it to be gone.

Since you have the time, swap the cable VSS in. Should be easy-peasy.

Easy take off the hydro speed sensor of off and bolt in the cable speedo sensor I have done this so many times in friends car and it works no need to modify anything it bolts right in

Thanks guys. Swapped them out. Just waiting on some mlre parts should have this car together soon then its off for paint

I’m very curious on how well the ‘‘new’’ hush22 dav2 hydro kit works, please keep us informed as this is the new innovation on how to convert your cable operated da to a full hydro driven da. I’ve driven the hush22 v2.5 ef with a gsr swap and I loved it, a little stiff but yet very firm and most important reliable as it gets.

Well i have not driven it yet. But i will say it was a royal pain to install. The heating duct was a major pain to get off cUse the 18" of duct is held on by two bolts way up under the dash. I ended up just cutting it out and then got the bolts out because i didnt wana remove the whole dash…

Thekit its self is very nice. Comes with wilwood cmc all fittings and brembo bracket for the resivor. I did have to reem out two of the mounting holes where it bolts to the pedal assy.because they were a hair to small. I am going to fill it up and bleed the system next week when i have off. I willkeep updated after i get it bleed and i get the new 340lph fuel pump in and my new 4bar map sensor. Also waiting on the hood e it e haust pipe to be made and the wg dump tube to be made. Will post some pix of it installed next week!

I got a brake/clutch pump bleeder that’s used with via air compressor and it makes bleeding a breeze. Even with two people there might be a big chance that you might not get all the air out of the system since da’s never had hydro clutch lines. My advise is get the kit that I got you’ll be so glad you did it will save you time and headaches, plus it’s only about thirty bucks or so, and it comes with a clutch fluid adder so your master cylinder will never run dry as you bleed the system, definitely worth every penny. Get one of those 20 percent discount coupons of harbor freight and take it there and use it and it should cost you under thirty bucks with tax. Trust me you’ll be so glad you did because I had an assist person to bleed and no luck still couldn’t get the damn thing in gear and I’ve bled lots of clutches and brakes before but nothing was as pain in the a** like bleeding a clutch line in a da that was never intended to have a hydro clutch. Best of luck to ya in your project sir.

Thanks man i was actually going to buy one after i saw the youtbevideo of hush using one. Will come in handy down the road for other things so to me its a must for my garage!
