I couldn't stay away from the DA

Indeed, those are two-tone seats. I LOVE them! My old DA had the graphite black interior with the blackish greyish tweedish seats and I like these a lot better. They need some cleaning but are very nice for the most part. It is quite a bit of work, and there’s more to get done. Like you said though, I am definitely am up to the task. I love this stuff! It feels good to be back. pics with the new hood will be up tomorrow. Next big purchase is some tires.

Some New Pics from today. Need to adjust the hood, Pass side is very close to the fender and is sunk down from the fender/flush. The Drivers side has a larger gap between the fender and the hood. It also sits higher on the Drivers side. Hood latches fine, and sits tight (possibly too tight) against the headlights.

Any suggestions?

Today I ordered a new Bronze Rota slipstream (god I’m baller yo), two 195/55/15 kuhmo asx’s to match the rears and a new blower motor.

I replaced the Drivers side axle and the alternator. The car runs and drives a lot better now that those two pieces are in. Anyone have a dead radiator fan that they could cut the 2 pin plug off of it and send it to me? I’ll give ya like 5bucks

wow what a deal. most of the time you’ll either find a DA completely together or in pieces, It’s so much easier to work with a car when you’re not missing everything. Looks like it’ll be a sweet ride.

Yeah, It’s just gonna take some work to get it looking real nice. I dig the challenge though.

Well over the summer the teg spent most of the time with the dash/interior torn out. My wife was in Turkey for six weeks, so I spent half the summer as a single parent. Didn’t have a lot of time to work on her.

It sat like this most of the summer, No Stereo, Blower Motor and air box removed. While this was out, I managed to fix the passenger floor leak!
I used small pieces of dynamat to plug the holes from underneath, I did the two over the fresh air inlet and the two others that were adjacent to the fresh air inlet. Then on the top, I siliconed those holes over also just to be sure. So far no leaks and we’ve had a very wet summer.

She’s all back together now, I’ve got an alpine 9856 headunit with an alpine power pack installed. The blower motor is in and working, but the blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. The tires and rims sat in my garage all summer too, Ill be getting them mounted and balanced this weekend. Finally she’ll be rolling on a full set bronze rota slips. I still need to refinish the pass side one piece, and I need to figure out the fog light wiring too. The exhaust is next, I’m thinking of throwing together something. Thinking a 2.25" piping through a resonator on to a flowmaster 50 series muffler, and a 4" angle cut double walled tip. Either that or if I can find an RS*R…which is becoming much more difficult.

Rims are on and she finally looks like a complete car again, pics to come a little later.

subscribed!

dang man you really came up on a good deal. Clean her up take some pics!

:corn:

I have a total of 1500 dollars wrapped up in the car, I’m pretty happy with it now. Still got a few things to button up on it. It’s neverending though.

She’s not clean, but if the weather cooperates tomorrow I’ll polish out that pass headlight and clear out the tails. God i want new exhaust right now, but gonna be heading to denver next month and i’ll need some extra cash for the trip.

God, I can’t keep this car in one piece for more than a few days!

Got the tails cleared and the one-pieces polished up! Can’t wait to see them on the car. The pass one piece was a BITCH, i ended up starting with 80 grit and working my way up. The clear was so damn thick and super yellow. Taking it down took FOREVER, well worth it though. Tomorrow I’m going to clean up the wiring for the 1 pieces and get my fogs working. 6k hids plus yellow fogs should look pretty nice.

nice progress/saw it when you first got it been wondering what u ahve been up to.nice start man

thanks for kudos.

Today I rewired the entire lighting system on the front of the car. The sidemarkers now work with the parking lights and blink like they’re supposed to. The fog lights now work. I like the contrast of the HIDs with the yellow fogs. The cleared tails look awesome on the car. I also ordered some amber bumper lights since my stock bumper lights were pretty hashed. Shoulld have the front end looking pretty good once i get it back together. I’ll get pics up once i get the bumper back on. I need to find an oem optional 90-91 lip, then i’ll be happy with the front of the car.

Bumper is back on and the amber bumper lights are in. I like how it looks. I’m gonna go wash her for the first time since i’ve owned it and snap some pictures.

Nowhere near perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot better than when i bought it. Next is exhaust and it needs tint now

niceee, i like the wheels. what exhaust are you thinking about getting?

substantial improvement from when you first got it. looking great.

Thanks, I’m wanting either an RS*R ex-magI/II or a Greddy Sp2, but it’s hard to find those. I’ve also got my eye on the tanabe medalion touring cat back for our cars. We’ll see.

Yeah, thanks a lot. I’ve still got a long ways to go before I’m REALLY happy with it, but at this point in time I’m satisfied at how far it has come. Definitely more to come over the next couple of months.
