i hate innovative.
a few words of advice: the guy at innovative, Jim, don’t try to deal with him. He’s impossible. he lied to, ignored, and didnt care at all about me. First off, the advertising they do on the “Replacement” crossmember is completely incorrect. i ordered one for my EF and it was nowhere near being a reaplacement:
the only reason i ordered it though was becuase i ordered their cable-hydro conversion. another poorly advertised item. they didnt mention that u either need to use their crossmember or cut about 2.5 inches into the stock one. Also didnt mention anything about needing a slim radiator fan with the kit either.
So he told me he’d send me some new and improved crossmember and that he’d get it out to me by Friday. This was about 3 months ago. just last week, i finally gave up and decided that i wasnt dealing with him anymore. between now and then, he’s told me at least 6 times that it would “ship out by this weekend.” Then i tell him that when it ships out, tell me. and if it doesnt, tell me. then i wait, and wait, and wait. then i call back eventually and…same story. They make real nice mounts, thats about it. other then that, they are a piece of shit, over-rated company. I would never pre-buy anything from him. because i dont think you’ll ever get it. or at least he wont let u know anything at all whats goin on.
I had a problem similar to that with the engine mount brackets for there DA crossmember from innovative.
I went through the whole contact me on monday thing for weeks( i don’t remember who I talked to). I finally got fed up and sold the bar. I never got the right brackets even after I sold it, I told the guy I sold it to that I would make it a point to still get the right brackets, but with work and everything else I got going on I couldn’t make calls everyday and send pics; and plus the guy just wanted something to get his car going, he eventually sold the bar to another guy and that guy had custom brackets made.
sorry to hear about your situation, but I think I read somewhere that they had 2 different types of EF crossmembers 1 high and 1 low, and I forgot the differences between the 2 but 1 of them should be an exact replacement.
You definatly got the replacement cross member. I just got my highmount yesterday and it looks nothing like yours. I bought it from the swap shop http:\www.swapshopracing.com it was on sale for $199.00 Brian was great to deal with.
this is what you should expect your mounts to look like after 6500 miles or so of daily driving, and maybe racing once a week during the summer months:
i’ve had their engine mounts for a while now, no problems. i’ll be going with their billet mounts when i do my R swap. their customer service is pretty crappy, though. that i will admit to. perhaps you got a bad mount  because i’ve never known anyone to have problems with them. EVERYTHING ELSE THEY SELL, is a different story. perhaps you are just too beast for those mounts y0. sucks that you’ve had such bad luck with their products. again, i can vouch for their mounts, i’ve had mine for about a year (around 16,xxx miles) with no problems at all.
