I need a good mechanic near Pasadena, CA

Hi.

I have a '92 LS that developed a seeping head gasket. I bought another LS head which I had surfaced and valve jobbed.

I need a mechanic who can:

A: Swap out the heads.

B: Install new head gasket and ARP head studs.

C: Install new Crower 62402-2 stage 1 cams.

D: Finish up by adjusting valves, set ignition timing, etc.

I don’t mind a mechanic who works out of his house as long as he knows what he is doing (i.e., understands how to torque heads properly and how to install new cams, etc.)

I need to do this ASAP as I am moving in a few days.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. I think I found a good one on craigslist. He seems knowledgeable, and best of all, he will come to my place to do the work. :rockon:

i’ve been going to fuji auto in pasadena for car repair for years. They specialize in japanese cars (obv, hence the name) and offer relatively good rates…and they’re actually japanese haha. They do good work and I trust them. I had my car towed from irvine to pasadena just to have it serviced by them when my cat converter took a dump. Wouldn’t have it done anywhere else. Thank goodness for our 100mi towing plan. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think they would be willing to do aftermarket installations but they won’t offer a warranty.

edit: they were able to source R12 for my a/c recharge :wink:
