I just got a b18a1 for my Accord but I need an ECU. Should I just find a b18a1 ecu or can I use something different such as a PR3? I dont know much about this engine yet so sorry for the stupid questions.
You’ll need a non-vtec ECU for that engine unless you plan on putting a VTEC cylinder head onto it. If you didn’t already know the PR3 is a VTEC ECU. What you’re most likely going to need is a PR4 ECU. I HTH.
ah, the o-so-rare b series engine into the older accord. My homie has an 89 accord, and wanted to throw a b18a1 in it… but he’s just decided to buy a G2 this summer.
I assume you’ll be running non obd? If so then you will need a 90-91 integra ecu (pr4). Just make sure you don’t get a 92-93 pr4 because they are obd1, and if you’re running the engine non obd an obd1 ecu will not work.
