ok im in need of a new exhaust and i know their is a “rate your exhaust” thread but i just want pics of the RS-R GTII,Tanabe R medalian, and the HKS hi-power. Comments on the exhaust would be great like is the muffler angled? and on the RSR is ground clearance worse since piping doesnt follow stock path? thnx
I have pix of a buddies HKS cat-back. It sounds real good at all speeds in and outside the car. Has a nice low tone.
thats what i have , its quiet past 4K without a header and hi flo cat , after i got the header and cat on there its not quiet anymore above 4k
burch92 - are those cars lowered?
burch the red integra without a wing has the HKS one correct? the RSR is the cheapest at $480 but piping does not follow stock rought so i dunoo if ground clearance is bad. I need good ground clearance since my car is lowered and i do scrape on things. The tanabe is about 498 but i dunno what it looks like on a DA. Thanks for pics guys
im on H&R sports with illuminas, i dont have a ground clearance problem, just take it eazy,

The only one not lowered is the white one. The one with the HKS is the teg with no spoiler. He is lowered by about 2inchs. I have been looking at getting the Tanabe for a few months now. I have seen pix of it on a G2 and looks real clean with ok clearance.

wow that’s pretty low clearance. The rsr I’ve seen pics on some websites that sell it, and it doesn’t look too promising either. I don’t know if that pictured whip was dropped.
The RSR GTII is 60mm and has a straight through design which goes underneath the gastank (probably the only way to achieve a straight through design on the DA/DBs). My friend has one on his DB and the pipe is literally flat where it goes under the tank from him bottoming out all the time. It’s also un-resonated, so it’s loud, but that’s the price you pay for performance.
The thing I don’t like about the HKS hi-power is that it’s only a 55mm piping (2.16mm). It’ll do the job for a mildly modified car, but once internals are thrown in, the exhaust will be a bottle neck.

that is the reason i wanted the pictures, i was worried that the piping would be really low. Looks like im gonna go with the Tanabe. My car u cant even fit a soda can under it so the RS-R with its piping so low id kill it in no time and i dont like the GREDDY SP2 oval muffler

yes i 2nd the tanabe pics. Thank u for the RSR pics now i know im not gonna get it since ill bottom out everywhere. im either gonna get the HKS or the tanabe just want pics of tanabe to see the size of the muffler

I am ordering the Tanabe tomarrow and should have it on by next week, I will post some pix up. The only thing though is that I am getting the universal one with 2/14 mandrel bent pipe. Getting pipe bent for $150 muffler for $146
so its just gonna be a tanabe muffer with custom piping? if so im more looking for the unit that comes from tanabe. I want to know if it is a angled muffer like the HKS unit
