Almost every day when I have just been driving for about 5 mins. and come to a stop or slow down and then go to push on the gas the motor will grown a little like when your trying to accel. in 5th gear at 2 grand. It won’t accel at the rate that I’m pressing on the gas. Then after about 2 or 3 seconds it will kick in and accel very fast back up to the speed the the gas pedal is pushed down to. It is like the fuel is not getting to the motor fast enuff?
Please help me out!!
Thanks, Michael:(
when was the last time your fuel filter was changed? do you know if your injectors are clean or not?
try some fuel system clearner
check your throttle cable’s deflection. It’s supposed to be about 10 mm.
This almost sounds like the hesitation problem us 90-91 guys have. Does it happen in any other gear?

not really. What type of hesitation problem are you talking about? Could it be the fuel pump not pumping the gas fast enoght, and just being old?

Where would the cable be located at?
check your spark plugs, you could have a bad one

People have been suspecting Main EFI relay for this heasitiation. If it was the throttle calble, you’d have this problem in every gear, not just when you were lugging 5th.
hey bud, inour cars 5th gear, at 2,000, you will get no power, our power kiks in 3,000-3500-6300, thats normal. hope in 4th, then youll getyour acccel, or pass 3,000 in 5th such as 80mph
no no no, it does not happen in 5th gear, just the sound that it makes sounds like punching it in 5th gear at 2 grand. I really think it is the fuel pump not pushing anuff gas to the engine. When I hit the gas the car lugs then goes back up to speed. That’s what happens. Any other idesa?
Thanks
Michael
