Ok so I’ve replaced my MFR which fixed the problem where the car starts but stalls then take awhile to start again…never had this issue anymore.
Now the issue is on hot days the car doesn’t crank over…what is that relay behind the radio which might be the culprit? I say this because when the car is in this state I open the windows and sit for a while…and after a few mins the car starts…I’ve also turned on the fan for under the dash in hopes to cool the air down there…and sometimes it works…this problem is a real pain especially when I drive people…it’s so embarrassing! “Sorry guys we need to sit here for a few mins until the car decides to start…”
A friend of mine had a similar problem with is prelude, I kept telling him to check his MFR and clutch switch and relay. Turned out to be a bad ECT sensor.
It would start fine when cold but once it got warm it would crank but not start.
if you replaced the MFR with a used one that could be the problem, they will still usealy work, but when it get’s hot inside the car they wont, untill you roll the windows down, open the door’s and wait a few minute’s,it has something to do with the solder cracking… :read:
