I swear people need to learn how to drive (accident thread)

So i’m traveling trying to go to the post office on my lunch

trying to see why these parts have not gotten to my mother’s house and why they are saying that the address is undeliverable (radiator hoses, speedo cable and compressor)…i’m in teh right lane and this other car is RIGHT THERE on my left so i couldnt swerve in the left lane w/o side swiping that person. This guy comes right into my lane and stops and as i’m slamming on brakes, this simple motherfuker is staring at me…

this is the bullshit he left me…i’ve only loved two of my vehicles i’ve ever owned, this was the second, i didnt care about the maxima like that, i liked it, but, at the end of the day i’m almost sure they are going to total it because it needs a radiator support, etc all that and paint is gonna cost more than they are gona want to give me for it.

that sucks! I heard that a lot of the time you can total it out then buy it back and make enough money to fix it. I think you should stay with it since you love it. It is repairable for sure

That’s shitty man… definitely worth buying back if they total it.

naw, i dont want a vehicle w/ a salvage title, if i cant get them to repair it straight up, i’m pulling off my parts and throwing stock back on and just letting it go. i’ll have to find something else. i hope what i’d get for it would be close enough to what Ralph wants for his DB

i dont think they will total it you’ll probably get close too book price value and keep the car no salvage title

Noooooooo! That asshole :frowning: the biggest thing I’m always afraid of when I drive my DB…hope it gets repaired with no salvage title man. Doesn’t look too bad from what I see. I’ve seen POS cars with more damage not get written off at work. Like I said hope it works out for you.

looks like they’ll consider it a salvage title, lets hope not she’s a beauty. You can always buy it back and part it out.

They won’t want to ‘pull’ that damage… They will want to do a radiator-support swap. Throw in the cost of a bumper, paint, and total labor? Its sad to say that there is a higher chance of it being a total loss than not.

It doesn’t take much to total a ~20 year old Honda.

if they total it don’t let them take it buy it back for like $300-400 take the money they gave your and put a new rad support in then have it inspected will come out with a rebuilt title which is way better than losing the whole car. or buy it back part it out and make quite a bit more than the check they cut you cause book is only like $1500 to insurance companies if that.

Yes they will usually let you buy the vehicle back for a decent price… Assuming there was no loan/lean that needed to be paid off, getting it back shouldn’t be too difficult.

deffinatly totaled, but easily repairible. buy it back and fix her up if you love it that much

Well I dunno someone backed up into my da and ruined my cf Hood and pushed my radiator support too and I got about 1900 for repair damages…so u may get lucky like me

that’s my exact thoughts, i’m hoping they dont total it, but the chances are great with this one and i cant see driving a vehicle with anything other than a clear title. just a personal thing for me. some people understand some dont.

thanks man

fortunately i have all my stock parts so i’ll probably take a day/half a day and take all the parts i have on it off and put the stock shit back on. i need to print up my paypal receipts for all the shit i bought, so when the adjuster comes they can write that down as well, if they total it

i REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hope so, i really do

damn dude that blows hard… do you know any body shops? i would ask around until you can find a place that can do it cheap by bending back the rad support and tell insurance you know a shop rather than letting them find one for you

yea i know two people that do body work, one that i fully trust lol. we’ll see, we’ll see

Damn man that sucks… i hope you dont let a little fender bender set you back that much on your car. thats way to easy to fix man. Good luck with everything hope it works out

thanks man

just got off the phone w/ the insurance company of the other guys insurance company, they assigned someone to come look at the car to come assess the damage so hopefully by tomorrow i will have an adjuster come look, see how much it’s gona cost to fix and i’ll be on my way to seeing WTF is gona happen w/ the DB fingers crossed
