Okay, so the other day as I was reconnecting my side markers back on to my signal lights, i notice that my parking light wires have snapped. I then reconnected the parking light but I accident touch the frame with one of the wires and sparks occur. Before I was too lazy to black tape the wires so i think that is why it snapped.
Just for heads up.
-I switched out a new ICU and that wasn’t the problem but it did fix my rear defroster problem that i had.
-I checked the voltages with my multimeter and it was i think “0.1” volts at the parking light wires.
-I checked all the fuses and its been good. Well just the parking lights and tailights fuse.
conclusion.
So now my tailights don’t work and parking lights don’t work. Oh yes and don’t forget my cluster and climate control lights.
My signal lights still signals and hazard is fine. But understand that it only comes on when i signal and when I don’t signal the lights aren’t on.
Basically when you turn the key to the first position the lights aren’t on. And my headlights and fogs work perfectly fine.
So how am I supposed to fix it . I don’t want to take it to the shop because I don’t have that kind of money. I need to drive it at night also. Someone please help .Is there any other fuse i can check?
Did you only check the headlight fuse? Check all of the fuses man. And how did the lights spark out,did you have them on as you worked on them? Bad idea.
I would also check all the bulbs as well,might of blown them out with that wire grounding out.
As mentioned check the fuse, it has to be the fuse or the CLS, [combination light switch], [it is not the head light fuses] the main head light fuse if for all the lights, there are other fuses for the high and low beams and one for park lights. in under dash fuse box.
okay…this forum failed…it was just a stupid fuse…i thought i double checked everything and i couldn’t drive it that night but it was just a damn fuse…but i also have another problem if you guys are willing to help
My parking lights for my alarm hasn’t turned on for a while…it usually turns on whenever i press the alarm but now the parking lights dont work when i press my alarm key…I checked both fuses connected to the alarm box and it looked fine…do you think it could be something else.?
Lol…well from my point of view it failed cause I’ve been trying so hard to find what it was and it was just a fuse…thanks …as for the alarm idk what parking lights wire is connected to the alarm box.
