bought em like this, i was thinking of maybe using my oven to crack em open and use paint tinner…would dat ruin em??:think:

Well… uh… you could do what you said - what is it, 200 degrees for like 10 mins ? try and release the clips first, then slowly pry them apart…
strip and/or sand and paint over them with something else… you can get “chrome” paint in a can, might look alright…
i dnt know if id put them in an oven id just cut the seal and pull it up then redo the black than get some sealent and seal it back up:shrug:

What do you mean “cut the seal”? I don’t know how your 1pcs were sealed but for mine, the sealant was hella hard and tough to “cut” open. The only way is to put it in an oven so the sealant becomes soft enough for you to pry open…
you could use a heat gun or a hair dryer 
Im doing a projector retrofit and i used a hair dryer to take mine apart. it took like 20 min. each headlight but i didnt want to put mine in the oven either because my dumb ass would melt them LOL!!! as far as the housings go just paint them with either gray or chrome paint because if you use paint thinner its going to more than likely take off the chrome part too

Yeah I never did like the blacked out look of the 1pcs. Makes it look dirty somehow… if you’re going to tint it, I would lightly tint the whole lens, that would look better in my opinion. Good luck with your cleaning and don’t fuck it up! lol :naughty:

mines were already off a little in the corner so i could just pull hard or use lighter to take off rest of way but im buyin some new one piece black halos…so its w/e
