I wrecked... Is this worth fixing? (big pics)

I pulled some retarded crap in my teg a few weeks ago and well… to make long story short, I hit a mailbox and 2 trees… I learned not to drive and sleep at the same time because I wound up about 10 feet down in a ditch. Anyway, I called a wrecker and they charged me $75 for pulling it out. It still runs good, but it looks like a piece of trash. I’m just wondering if it’s worth fixing, and if so then where is the best place to get parts and crap. I’m pretty sure I can fix the front if i can find parts, but I don’t know about the back/trunk. Any ideas?

that sucks, probably not worth fixing… it’ll have to be done at a bodyshop for sure…(rear end)

yeah, the most expensive (and the best) body shop in town told me 4 grand, but that’s to restore the car 100% with fresh paint and everything. i could probably get 2 DA’s for the price of fixing this one but i dont have the money for either because all my cash is going to my 1986 S-10 build at the moment… it still drives though. steering wheel is a tad crooked but thats all. maybe one day i’ll have a good teg again.

for the dent int he rear, pull the carpet out of the trunk and try hitting the spot a few times with a deadblow or rubber mallet. You should be able to get most of that one pushed out so it won’t look so bad, then the front fender can be picked up for $50 or so probaby

as long as you fixed yourself first then it would be ok to fix your teg =]

if it still drives straight then i wouldnt get rid of it. ^^ god point just push it out the best u can and then bondo it. unless you want to pay to have it cut out and a new peice welded in.

x3 on the banging out with a hammer and replacing that fender.

thanks guys! does the carpet just come out and there’s the QP? or do i need to take anything else off to get to it?

if u have a lkq owned junkyard in ur area like i do u can get a fender for 10$ thats wat i payed for my pass side fender lol but good luck man

the side panel in the trunk should just pop out, but it might have some plastic screws in it, I have never tore apart the trunk of a 4dr before. just mess around with it and it should come out. I am pretty positive you will be able to pound most of that big side dent out. a deadblow would work perfect for that. You might even want to remove the taillight first so that you dont crack it anymore.

Thanks a ton dude! I’m going to try to bang it out today if i get any time.

I’m probably going to replace both front fenders with this.
Maybe it’ll look better than it did before i wrecked it if i can get the back dent banged out and bondo’d real good. oh and by the way, do any of you know where i could get a power steering fluid cap? mine got stepped on and it’s almost cracked in half.

I personally don’t like those fenders. Might look weird on it especially that it’s a sedan.

:vomit:

:umno: to the fenders

:iagree: … but what do you guys recommend besides stock fenders? i think they look kinda bland.

:tapfing: still too ricey/:vomit:ey?

I believe most people here (including myself) will tell you to keep it stock. Plus it will save you money =)

stock stock stock it is! but not the engine :excite:

have you considered some side markers? those add a little extra sumthin sumthin to your fenders

whats a side marker? is that like fender flares?

edit
oh… the little lights?
