So im in the middle of installing an ICU. Its really a pain in the ass. But anywho. Does anyone have pictures of how to do this. The original post on it the images died cause image station went under.
YES ive searched my ass off! Cmon i know someone has pictures or they can walk me throu this…
I dont know how to get the ICU off the fuse box. Nor can i get enough room to work back there.
Well yea i know that. But is there any way you can just pull a few to get to the top bolt then just move it left and out?
Or do i have to pull that medal cross member.
Pull every single plug out and then work with it. Its a big headache cause i have an alarm under there that was done to well with all the wires just to the reqired length and nothing else.
I really dont want to risk budging a pin out of place then playing find the needle in a hay stack trying to figure out why my car is acting up?
I can get mine out without un-plugging any of the connectors in about 5 minutes. Once you get both 10mm bolts out, pull the fuse panel out enough so that you can see the ICU. I take a straight screw driver and put it in between the ICU and the fuse panel and pry the ICU from the fuse panel gently until it disconnects from the fuse panel. It won’t be easy if you don’t pry it loose. It snaps into place when installed pretty tightly, so I don’t think you can pull it off just by using your fingers… There is 2 connectors on the ICU. One that a red connector from the wire harness plugs to on the top of the ICU, and one that is on the back of the ICU that connects to the fuse panel itself. Once you get the ICU to pop loose, disconnect the red connector on the top and it’s out. Install in reverse less the prying part.
Got it installed. The top bolt wasnt that hard. Must not of been paying attention when i first tore it appart. Everything works like a charm. When i press the defrost i hear a click like a relay, but i cant really test that untill later this winter.
Intmittent wipers work like a charm… and the door beeps :ohyeah:
