4 door?

Get some 150 dollar lowering springs, drop it low, polish your wheels or paint them - or get something like BMW bottlecaps or bbs mesh from a vw, and paint them white, gold, or gunmetal…

And polish your headlights.

Dump it and 1 pieces, probably the coolest and most functional thing you can do  EVERYONE does it y0

It’s your car do with what you like to it. If you like rice so be it, just don’t get hurt feelings when someone says they don’t like it. Use common sense too, painting your headlights doesn’t seem like a good idea if you plan in driving at night…just a thought.

yea rice will get u a lot of haters… but if u like it so be it. everybody has their own tastes. i’ve had a da b4, and loved it. but now i’m into db1’s… 1 pieces are nice, i miss having one pieces, they look so clean… :drools:

but yes with a db1… DROP THAT BIATCH!!!

k, the back is lowerd, so im guna do the front next, im getting these off ebay

what do you guys think?

Bad choice… I had cheap ebay coilovers and it just about totalled my car, I wasn’t even all that lowered either. The springs are far to soft, where it bounces constantly on the slightest bump. When you get big bumps like on the highway or something your cross member keeps hitting the ground along with your exhaust. Causing sparks and eventually a hole in your muffler. Not to mention because of those cheap things my Cross member and radiator support is bent.

NOT worth it… Buy some Skunk2, ground control, Tein, Function Form, K-sport, NEX coilovers… Dont forget struts/shocks. Koni Yellows, Tokico Illumina etc… NO KYBs (Unless their the red ones)… Or even springs, H&R, Eibach, Neuspeed, Ksport, Skunk2 etc… Again, dont forget shocks/struts… Do it right the first time, Dont risk damaging your car.

yea preferrably u do it right the first time. some of us mess up and just deal with it, but i plan on doing it right the next time. i got some lowering springs that were cut… it lowered my car a good amount. left it on my old stock struts, and it rides ok, a bit bouncy on the highway n stuff, but only when there’s like a big dip or something. overall i’m use to cut springs, but i’m saving up for some full coilovers or a GC/koni yellow setup. all depends. i picked up a new skunk2 camber kit, and will install that tomorrow or tuesday.

here’s a pic of my db1 at its current stage. got some things done, but i’m working on it.

Here is my DB1.

You can go up from there and see some other modifications I have made in the past. (2nd gen b16, GC’s (with tophats) & Koni yellows, self built Tri-Bar, ES bushings for everything, etc) Don’t cut or buy cheap coilovers. Save up, get good stuff. Or at least get stuff that is not cheap. For GC’s & Koni yellows (without tophats), you should be able to pick them up new for pretty cheap now.

May try PMing this guy on h-t http://www.honda-tech.com/member.php?u=999559928

heyyy isaw those pictures before ur car is SICK
thers 2 things i wnna ask u about, the light up side markers and ur tailights, mainly the side markers, how do you do that???

Assuming you’re talking to me.

The side markers came with the car. But I did some research and talked to its original owner who did that. They are from a E36 BMW. just remove the fender molding, cut a 1" by 2" square for the bulb and drill a hole for the screw. Since my car has JDM 1 pieces, The blinker harness was extended to the fender and a weird little boot type bulb thing was then sautered on and plugged into the side marker. So they dont turn on unless the blinkers or hazards are on.

Tail lights, Just remove them and get some degreaser (castrol super clean is what i used), Pour a little in with warm water and slush it around and instantly the pink lines in the 1990-1991 tail lights turn white.

so i cant do it with a 1993?

You can but its much more complicated. You have to take the tail light apart with a oven, Remove the amber plastic piece and reseal them.

amber plastic peices??
thers no amber in my tail lightss

This is mine atm

im lowering it more this afternoon :excite:

thats pretty simple, the more i look at db1’s they all look the same…fresh paint, lowerd rims and clear front lights… i want to do something that no one has done before, i hardly see anyone dohc painted so im going to do that

dont get me wrong…i like it, i really cudnt do anything better my self, but im the kinda guy who likes 2 b veryyyy original, and outta this world kinda thing lol

Some things haven’t been for a reason… The headlights so many of us have, are called JDM 1 Pieces, the reason we choose these headlights because they are more functional then any other set out there. Unless you want to do a projector retrofit for HIDs in the ebay non projector headlights.

If you dont have amber in the tail lights, you dont have 92-93’s. you got 90-91s… If the look like DB1_POO’s.
