identify this transmission: 90-91 or 92-93?

Well I took a gamble and it payed off. I bought it for $200, opened it up and every gear tooth for tooth matched a gsr b17.

what clutch u using

BTW, if anyone needs it, I have an Exedy, stage 1, organic clutch disk that’s just sitting in the garage. It’s probably got less than 15k miles in it. It’s a remnant from when I swapped transmissions under the same situation as the OP but didn’t have the same luck with matching the splines correctly. PM me if anyone is interested.

Just for the record, and Colin beat me to it, literally using the exact same links I was going to use:

The ONLY difference in the splines between 90/91 & 92/93 is the spline size. The teeth are NEVER different, and 1/16th of an inch is impossible to see with the naked eye. You can rent dial calipers from O Reilly to this day I believe, or you can get a cheap set at any tool store.

So, if it’s only 1" in diameter, it will NOT be a GSR transmission.

I know it’s a dead post, but this is the final answer, it’s a question that has been beaten to death.
