when my car is neutral it idles 1000-2000rpm back and forth, and when i have the ac on most of the time it sits at 1500rpm but sometimes still 1000-2000rpm.
i have checked the idle control system from what it told me in the helms manual and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. vacuum likes are ok too
Is your vacuum hoses hooked up correctly? No splits or cracks. At idle vac is least, at throttle the vacs gonna suck sumtin thru a hose, like Brittany. Plugged hoses, whether coolant or vac gonna stymey yur gettie up and go.
another thing is this problem occured after we did the clutch on my car…pulled the tranny and left engine in
EGR/PVC hoses hooked up? Somethings letting air in the intake all of a sudden. Trans don’t have anything that’d compromise the intake. Not even the intake tube from the filter. Follow all your vacuums.
ok i found a vacuum leak with some help, but now it threw a check engine light and it idles a 1500 steady. how can i read the check engine light codes? i tryed to search but couldnt find anything.
obd0 ecu’s have the red LED blinker on the computer itself. Check under the carpet on the passenger side.
