i replaced the MFR the other day. and was like cool its hot in my car it should started today. click click click. a god awful sound coming from the ECU area. im like WTF. turn the key off and on. no lights nothing. do it again and all my lights come on and it starts.i as soon as i plug my mp3 player in it everything shuts off. go pop the hood juggle the terminal wires get back in the car its starts fine. so i take off go to work and on my way to work my sub keeps kicking on and off. as soon as i pull in the driveway for work everything dies. roll into a parking space and pop the hood and try and get out and my seat belt wont go forward and there is a god awful sound coming from the seat belt dinger. so i get out pull the + terminal apart and brush it out put it back together. and its starts.
would the corroded cable cause such things as having my electrical flicker off and on real quick will im driving? or kicking my radio off and back on but not resetting it? or is it a bad ground somewhere?
that happened to me the other day and then i noticed the grond from the valve cover to the chassis broke. you might want to double check all of your grounds
the ground from the rad support to the vale cover is fine.
i think i may have found the problem. im pretty sure i need to make a new + battery cable. it looks as if it is corroded inside the insulation as well. it had one of those chitty aftermarket clamps that have the two bolts that clamp the wrie in.
ill just have to try it out and see if that fixes the problem. i really hope it is.
Your problem is a connection one, find a stock one or stock like, you can get universal ones at any car parts shop. [AutoZone, Canadian Tire] get the type that has a “molded clamp”, maybe a used one from your local pick and pull or try eBay.:whisper:94
