hey whats up … i have neons under my dash and they’re plugged into my 12V lighter … and i wanna hook up a switch to them … i have an ignited flip-switch. Just wonderin if anyone can help me install it. the neons turn on from one of those big box thingys that come with it. thanks

go to the auto store and buy some wire 12-14 guage should do it, and some .250 female connectors. Under the dash in the fuse panel look up above all the fuses and you will see 3 flat prong things. wire that to power on your switch, the lead to your neons, ground to ground.
If your lighter plug in isnt a transformer then you can cut it off and find which wire is which and run it to your switch as lilrick said, but if your lighter plug in is a transformer then you need to solder wires to the metal parts and run them. I do this kind of thing all the time in customers vehicles.
our cigerate lighters are just an imcomplete power and ground circuit and what ever is plugged in makes it a complete circuit
