I’m in a tough spot here and hope you can help me with some info, i recently bought an ignition on g2ic because mine was busted, figuring that they are all the same over the years never got too specific with what i needed.
before really tearing everything apart i decided to just plug in the connectors and make sure every thing worked, the car gets power on accessory, no main power on run but does start, as soon as i release the key to go to the run setting it stalls because theres no power being transfered.
i know the switch is good and upon looking at it closer it seems its actually a different ignition switch. while the connectors are identical there are two extra wires coming off the switch than my original one. further inspection of my stock one shows that along the way from the switch to the plugs a couple wires split off into two connections on the harness plugs.
here’s what i know about the switches:
stock from my car is labled K69-4
new one is K740
just wondering if you can tell me what i have here and whether you know any way to make it work if i need to get a new switch from somewhere, i looked on oemacura to try and get part numbers but no success, was trying to cross reference between models etc, i’m reading through the manual and am going to check what it says for continuity but its sorta confusing cause both integra and legend ones are listed but for some reason both my connectors have 5 pins not 3 like the integra one is showing, unless they don’t count the small wires coming from a second push button switch on the ignition.
anyway any help would be really helpful cause i was finally gonna have a key to start my car with instead of a screw driver lol.
