Whats up everyone? Its been a while since I’ve been around here. Started with a db about 6 yrs ago, sold it for a jdm dc4. Got stolen/stripped, and now, 2yrs after the dream was crushed, I’m back in a DA.
Its nothin special, jus got a good deal on it. Its got a 98 ls motor in it, cheap-o header, hiflow cat, and HKS HiPower exhaust, and an intake.
Had decent plans for it, but I have come across the opportunity to pick up my old db after all these years! Im really excited to get that back, as I have big plans…
with the db:
auto to manual swap, all parts from the dc including motor, tranny, chipped ecu, all that jazz. i love that motor.
build the motor a lil bit more - its already rebuilt
bodywork
hoping it still has the jdm headlights n bumper lights, as well as the h&r race springs i bought just before it sold.
ill post up pics when i find um.

welcome back, too bad u ditched the gen2 for a gen3 tho haha. i could never do that gen2 are my favorite

Do you have a DA and a DB?
no. right now i got the dc and a da. im pickin up my db soon, hopefully.
so ive been thinkin. since im gonna beef up the motor before it gets dropped into the db, jus been gettin stuck between 2 choices.
first off, the motor itself was rebuilt.
94 ls rebuilt oem spec (originally setup for boost)
skunk 2 cam gears
the head was cleaned up a bit, mild port n polish
act stage 3 clutch
nothin major, but it pulled pretty good when it ran.
now my 2 choices are…
finally go ls-vtec
or
beef up the top end a bit. cams, valves, springs/retainers, intake mani, throttlebody. also add a header.
hm…
so… i had planned on droppin in the motor from the dc right…?
i ended up sellin the car n everything that was left of it.
so now its back to square one. im not liking the 98ls in it, the IM looks all cluttered, too many hoses n whatnot. not clean looking lol. still gotta figure out the whole bogging at low rpm issue…
but hopefully starting tomorrow, ima start sanding down some rust and just layin primer over it for now. gotta replace the broken ebrake cable, tune up, and search for suspension.
