Im getting a code #1.....

Whats/where is the oxygen sensor. Any insight as to what that does would be very helpful.

JUST REPLACE IT

THE O2S IS LOCATED IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD THE O2 INTHE EXHAUST REACTS WITH THE O2S TO PRODUCE A VOLTAGE OUTPUT WITCH VARIES FROM 0.1 HIGH O2 ,LEAN MIX TO 0.9 LOW O2 RICH MIX . THE PCM CONSTANTLY MONITERS THIS VARIABL VOLTAGE OUTPUT TO DETERMINE THE RATIO OF O2 TO FULE IN THE MIXTURE . SO IF YOUR CAR STARTS TO RUN FUNNY ITS BECAUSE OF THAT. I HOPE THIS HELP YOU BRO.

this is what the O2 sensor look like
it should be sticking out of the manifole on the lower part of the header, before the cat. you will probably need to get an O2 sensor socket from sears, that will help get it off a bit easier, then you cna get a new one, honda around 149.99, shucks or pep boys around 30-40, and then jsut put it back in, should take around an hour or two to do. goo luck

Just go to Napa and pick up the bosch universal replacement one. You will get it for under $30. Since you have a 1990 teg, your O2 sensor will be right in front of your head on your exhaust manifold. It is the thing sticking out of the piping with one wire coming off of it.
It is the 92-93 tegs that have the O2 sensor down by the catalytic converter.

holy ****, I feel like the biggest idiot ever. I know exactly what the oxygen sensor is and what it does, Im just used to calling it the O2 sensor. When I looked up the code in teg tip list, the words “oxygen sensor” didn’t register. You guys must think i’m some big rookie who doesn’t know what i’m talking about. WOW lets just forget about this post.
