Well, this is not good. Safelight guy was cool (even though he rebroke my cowl during removal) but could not finish the job because of…problems. Quoting a body shop this week.

Ahhh same issue withat mines but milder. I just plan on taking the windshield out grinding it down, etching primer then glazing putty then repainting it. I’m not a show room car kind of guy rather spend my existence driving a car then just looking at them. Goodluck with getting it fixed though
Good to see the site back up. Thanks to Neil for his tireless work over many years to keep this community unified online.
The windshield crack basically unpacked a world of hassle, because of the subframe body rust. A local one-man shop in the area came to my rescue, and in September I was able to get all of the old body rust repaired and paint matched, rear wheel well rust fixed and repainted (while he was at it!?? Had no idea he would hook me up like that), and a new windshield installed.
Purchased some good condition DB1 floor mats for sale from a member out in Cali, and after I got the car back from the shop I cleaned the mats and installed. They are awesome, and shout outs to the donor Teg owner.
Anticipating having to daily the car this winter, I hit some of the exposed fender wells with undercoat, as well as stupidly undercoating the wheel mating surface on my brake rotors. Only took 25 miles and almost losing a wheel for me to scrape that right back off, and obsessively check lug bolt torque for the next week.

Part of my winterizing was needing to prep my exterior paint for the road salt and nasty, so I decided it was time to clay bar the outside and build up some protective wax coat. Man, what a difference with clay! Not sure if these pics even do justice, but the results were excellent. If you are a noob like me and don’t know about clay bar, check out AMMO NYC youtube channel. That guy is amazing.
Also decided to pop a hood emblem on, even though as we know the stock 1990 did not have this feature. My first '90 Integra did rock an aftermarket hood emblem, so I decided why not. It was time to replace the OEM battery terminals because it was getting tiresome to have the car die in parking lots.

Feels great to have this car just about where I’ve always wanted it since the day I flew to Kentucky to pick her up, and driving it every day is truly satisfying, especially when the odometer rolls over to zero’s again last week. No regrets.

Replaced the eBay front strut bar with a bonafide part, one actually made for the car! Props to member Gekko for super fast shipping on my new 90-93 Integra Neuspeed front strut bar. My first time driving after installing was so much different, with no rattle or vibration.
Nice build. I gotten back into a G2 myself.
We made it!
Still dailying this car, it is still running like a champ, and on the way in to work today flipped over 234,567.8 miles! [IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn35/G2Again/IMG_20170420_084543985%20-%20Copy_zpsdw5zqyfj.jpg”}[/IMG2]
Cannot forget the point 8!
Original B18A1 engine & trans; what a journey this two-owner sedan has lived. I was kind of geeking out a little bit, so I found a nearby parking lot and took a few pics to commemorate.
Thankful and fortunate to have such a clean DB1, and if she blows up tomorrow, no regrets.

Wow! I really like your work. Very clean and organized etc. Its amazing what a little preparation will do. And the DB1 looking so fresh. Great progress!
Well, once again I was the lone representative of the 2nd gen Integra at my local Cars & Coffee. It was a very solid turn-out, but I would love to see a few DA’s and DB’s once in awhile!
Posting a few pics of the meet…
Looking good man, keep it clean!
very nice
The wheels on that CRX could be the ugliest wheels I’ve ever seen on a car. They look like the backside of an alternator, or the ice formations we get on wheels, here in the Rocky Mountains.
On a better note. Sad you’re the only Gen2 to show. At least you’re doing it with a super-nice representation. I love the love and care you’ve given the car, without going crazy. It’s pretty much a perfect daily driver. Great job.!!!
Your DB1 look nice!
Thanks! Yeah, those wheels are odd (Mugen CF-48’s), but very sought after by some in the 1990’s Honda scene, presumably because JDM. Also, I believe the CF-48’s actually came with a screw-in faceplate to make them look cleaner and less mechanical. Looks like an experiment in creating a “heat sink” effect to cool down the rotors? Maybe some old-schoolers on here can shed some light?
I appreciate the comments on my daily, and I’m staying inspired by the OG’s and the West Coast/East Coast/Canadian/International people on here who won’t let the g2 chassis die!
Just stopping by for a quick fillup of 93 octane, 27 yearly Christmas shopping blitzes and counting.
Glad to see a fellow DB1. I bought my good condition DB1 a few months back for only $600 then I put a set of brand new VIP Modular 15" wheels on it.
Well, this morning would have been the morning my DB1 was totaled, except for a quick reflex brake and some divine intervention. Just had a mid-size SUV going about 50mph run the intersection as I was making a left hand turn, and they came within a foot of my driver’s side one piece headlight. Scary as ****. Every day from here on is a gift in this car, because I should be waiting for ambulance and tow truck right now.
:fucksuvs:
Glad to hear that you avoided a major accident today!

Inspection time again in the good old state of North Carolina. I actually forgot to renew almost 2 months ago, but that’s a whole other story…
Anyway, it was overdue as hell, so I brought my Integra in last week and it ended up failing for exhaust. The guy at my shop was cool, and took me out to the bay to look at my axle-back while it was up on the lift. Rusted through in many places.
After consulting threads here, and being in a time crunch, I decided to go with a Walker cheapo OEM replacement axle-back. I hear these things rust out pretty easy, so I did a solid coat of high-heat exhaust paint before installation to hopefully let it last a few years. While the eBay chrome setups were slightly tempting, I don’t have the time or money right now to experimentally rice out this daily, so boring OEM replacement was the call. This car was purchased and driven in Kentucky for many winters, so I am surprised the original OEM muffler was even still intact.
Anyway, garage time. All was going well until I inevitably sheared off one of the exhaust flange bolts. Several hours, a propane torch, and half a can of PB blaster later I was able to drill out the chunk that was seized into the threads. What a hassle!
All good now, and I passed my reinspection this morning easily. Good times laying on my concrete, turning wrenches. Getting too old for this, lol.
