Lil update…The shortblock isnt together yet, but the pistons and manifold arrived so i threw a dummy ls longblock in there so i could make my downpipe and piping. Overall im impressed with the ERL manifold, the finish is lovely, fits quite well, comes with hardware to mount any WG, and has a 5 year warranty. For the money its either this or inline pro, and this thing is lovely. Im certain its gonna put some serious #'s Down. Heres a shitty lil camera phone pic of the beginning…
Sweet. Your camera phone takes the clearest pictures I have yet to see. Usually they are are blurry and pixelized. You should be very happy with your setup.
Josh, do you have in-house tuning capabilities or where do you get the cars tuned?

We use Xotic’s dyno as well as Jeff Evan’s since they are in our genereal area. My partner Dan is quite fluent with the AEM and does well with it both on and off the dyno…If you ever need a quote or assistance dont hesitate to call the shop(302-798-7000)
Mike- Thanks, its def. one of the nicer camera phones out there…
Dude, what radiator are you going with? You have almost NO clearance for one in there. I can only imagine how slim your fans are going to have to be. There’s only enough space for a single core rad in there! I’m just trying to start my turbo project again. My car has been overheating for a while and I can’t figure out why. My thermostat needs replaced and my upper rad hose is beginning to bulge. The only other thing I can come up with is that the head gasket is gone, (which is quite possible because the car has 160,000 miles on it). But, it won’t do it until I start driving or until I’m sitting at idle for a while. But my check engine light comes on also and the car runs like shit, (temp sensor maybe). I took the A/C fan out and removed my entire A/C system, (which I have if anyone’s interested but the high pressure line is kinked). If someone could point me in the right direction on where to go from here that would help. But I have a T03B .42/.48 (newly rebuilt), a 12:1 FMU, an intercooler, 390cc injectors, Walbro 255lph pump, all stainless pipes and manifold, now all I need is my BOV, a AFC, and a Tial wastegate and I’ll be rocking like 225 HP.
Man, I need a turbo!!! :gunright:
Shit looking sick, Kid! I’ve been meaning to stop by your shop for the longest but my teg is just sitting in my garage waiting for a new turbo and to get a new downpipe made up. Can you guys make me one over your shop? I have all the pipes and flange — What do you say?
PS: Maybe you dont know but I got a new exhaust manifold and it tilts the turbo up front like yours so my excisting downpipe does not match/fit.
Maurice, I can easily make a new downpipe for you. Bart’s car(red hatch from jersey) just left our shop last nigt. We did all custom mandrel IC piping and a custom 3in downpipe. There are only 4 couplings total, both sides are one piece, which is how he wnated it. Needless to say he was quite happy with the job. So, if you’d like us to do it, Ill def. give you a break on labor as i did bart…Just to give you an idea, I charged him 175 for a custom 3in down pipe and I supllied all piping and flanges. If you have the parts and its less hassle, ill do it cheap for you.
First off, ill be running the best single core out there, the C&R. I originally had the Big Fluidyne and twin FAL fans, which are for sale in the FS forum. I would change the thermostat and pull the code, do the easiest things first. If you are anywhere close to philly, id reccomend you stop by our shop and we can perform a compression and leakdown test. These tests will detemine how sound the motor is and can easily identify a blown HG.
I haven’t been down at the races in like a 5 weeks. So, you did Bart’s pipes huh? hahahaha that’s pretty cool, you work on your competitor’s car lol. On the other hand, I have the 5 bolt flange and 2’5 pipes but I would like that 3" one. PM me a price quote and I will defenitely go down there man. I can’t even take advantage of the awsome tunning deal of Chris and Jeff (Boosted-Hybrid) because of all this steps back man :argh:
You have time…get this shit done! It gonna be even cheaper if you come…I think we have 5 peeps with you!!!
Make it happen bitch
looks sick man. keep up the good work. cant wait to see it done. hopefully ull race it at englishtown so i can see it.
are you worried that your lower exhaust manifold volume might hinder your high end? i.e. full-race’s log vs tubular shootout.
Not neccesarily…This manifold was near free since it is so new, and ill be giving theem a lil feedback. Im thinking it will outperform the full-race mid-low, but definitely lose advantage on the top end.
Maurice, ill give you a price for both…And even though they are my competition, they know our work is second to none. That definitely says alot about us cause no one works on that car but him…
Edit: heres a pic of a down pipe we were messin with for a turbo ka-24de
I just sent you an email Quickda6 :run:
What are you using for a oil pump/ gear? Reason I am asking is because last night I put the slicks on the Teg and took it up my street to give her shit to see if all is good because I wanted to go to the track today. But when I got the car back home I noticed my oil light came on just as I pulled into the garage and heard a funny noise. So I tore down the timing belt side of the motor and dropped the pan to get at the oil pump. Sure enough when I took it out it was completely busted in about 15 pieces. The motor wasn’t knocking or anything like that so hopefully its just a oil pump gear change. Do you carry anything stronger then this stock junk? If so how much? Thanks in advance.
Mike, we use the pro-drive gears, although i have seen these break as well. Is this a sleeved block you are using? It seems that most of the time oil-pump failure is related to the mains being out of alignment. Ill dig you up a price when i get to the shop, definitely some cheap insurance. Shit, the light will come on when the sensor reads 4.3psi, kinda scary.
Its a completely bone stock B16A motor with GSR cams. I was told that its probably my aluminum light weight crank pulley. Either way the stock one is going back on tonight along with another oil pump gear. I am so fortunate that it happened at the house instead of a hour and 15 mins away at the track.
Did you get my email?
Ok, email sent
