I have it EXACTLY like it describes. Apparently A25 is the 12v switch source, and A17 listed in the instructions as being just “IAB Solenoid”.
Since I have it wired exactly how its stated in those instructions, what should I do with the wiring?
Undo the splice in the 12v wire at A25 and attach it to a ground, instead?
lol. even though I’m mechanically inclined. Sometimes, wiring gets the better of me, lol.
Gonna see what I can work out with the IABs tomorrow.
I work in the industrial field and the “Mechanics” and “Electricians” are two totally different worlds haha Good to hear you got vtak yo! Yea im mechanically inclined to but building nuclear/power plants and building my tegs is like night n day, LS n GSR, peas n carrots, and the infamous question VTEC or NON VTEC? haha PICS PICS PICS…

Perhaps, I’m a bit confused with it…
maybe the IAB doesn’t work?
if what unified said is correct i would try grounding the wire that goes to A17 and see what happens. or you can always buy a skunk2 manifold
do you have 12V or ground in any of the two wires?
no updates as of now. been quite busy. dropping the car off at the shop to have the Vibrant High Flow cat welded up and installed today. No more loud, rattling exhaust. The rattle wasn’t TOO bad. But, it was noticeable enough to be annoying, to me.
there seems to be an issue with the wires from the VTEC subharness not wanting to stay in their places. as, I threw a code 22 again today (the wire for the pressure switch came out of its place in the ECU)
all but the knock sensor have popped out at least once. getting annoying. while I was messing with that, I looked at A17. wire wasn’t even snug. Was just kind of sitting there. plugged in. after I reset the ECU to clear the CEL for code 22 (pressure switch) I took it for a drive. when I went full throttle, 4400rpm, VTEC engages, at around 5700 (or so) my motor starts screaming at me as the IABs opened, and my B18C roared in all its glory for the first time since its swap x1,482,101
Vibrant Hi-Flow cat installed today. Sounds so much better! Now, I can officially say that the swap is 100% complete Nothing else NEEDS to be done with it. No more bottle-neck from the stock cat.
just got those pigtails man, the’ll be at your door asap. if you want. try and find out what color those wires are and if i have that specific one. ill send it and that way you can still remain color coordinated.
As you said, its a great feeling to know that your swap is finished and that the car actually RUNS and is driveable. Though there always seems to be something else needing attention. Lol… Just the name of the game, eh?
Forgive my horrible memory and lack of re-reading the thread, what exhaust system are you running again?
