he needs grills for his speakers up front… i dont like the upholstry on the dash also… well the way he did it… it is a nice trunk setup though man i gotta give props to that… his trunk must ratlle like a biatch knowing our tegs…
He’s actually done a LOT more work to the vehicle since then. He says new pics will be up soon. He’s getting ready for the national championships right now, so he is busy. But I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have the rattling problem. Only the best car stereo systems get invited to compete in the finals. To win, shows how good his stereo is. I believe rattling would cost him too many points.

It sounds awesome. It gets impressively loud for a 10" sub even though I have a third the power it can handle. Right now it is in a temporary .36 cubic foot sealed box. I just built a fiberglass enclosure for my head unit on my dash.
It turned out real good, almost looks like something that came from the factory. I then took out the center console pieces until the underside of the center of my dash is completely empty. I am now in the process of building a custom fiberglass box to house my sub. The maget structure of the sub will be pointing up and completely exposed. The enclosure will be underneath, and be my new center console. So when I’m done, all the speakers will be in the front of the car.

tight. damn thats a tiny box. does it hit low enough?
people with those types of set up must be hella loaded. wondering where they get all the $$$ to do it???

Oh yeah. It get’s really low. It is flat down to 15 Hz. The sub is designed for very small boxes.

nice but it says he only hit 142??? I just had 2 twelves in my trunk and I hit 144db at a competition. he should be alot louder I would think

That depends on the goal. He is going for all out SQ. He could have gotten the subs much louder if he wanted to, but that would have lost him some sound quality points. And when you are competing at the national finals for sound quality, that would be a bad move.
Very nice. I like the midbass in the floor, good space saver.
The horns are an awesome replacement for the component and imaging problem of installations. I just wish I wasn’t so tall that I could fit them in my car:sad: (being 6’5", I barely have enough leg room already, bringing the bottom of my dash down another 2 inches was not an option, even though I really wanted to get a set of the compression drivers)
