I have a 92 db and everyonce in a while and it’s been happening more often lately… the car won’t start and I either gotta pop start it or jump the starter with a piece of amp wire. Now this only happened every so often but when it does its always at the worst time and place. Everything works fine (fan, radio, lights) everything but when I turn the ignition to the start position I hear all the relays click… but no fire.
•The starter is fairly newer and I can still jump it out with a cable which tells me that’s not the issue.
•I’ve redone all the grounds and upgraded them to 6 ga amp wire. (One from trans to shock tower and other from valve cover to drivers side engine mount bracket)
• when it does start the clutch does not have to be engaged so my guess is the clutch switch is bypassed which would rule it out of the equation.
I have done some reading up on this and everything I’m reading points to the clutch switch but that makes no sense if it bypassed.
My eg coupe used to do the same exact thing. I put my own push button start on it and haven’t had the issue since but I’m not tryna do that to my teg.
Any help would be appreciated so much. Thanks in advance.
