You obviously missed the times when there were no aftermarket mounts and everyone was begging Hasport to make some (they said they would make the K-series DA mounts before they would make any replacement mounts, since they didn’t believe there was any market for them). Yeah, Avid makes some now (pretty sure they came out within the last year), but Innovative was the first to start making them since Place Racing went out of business. Avid is just jumping on the bandwagon now. You can actually buy some even cheaper knockoffs on eBay now for only $110.
It was almost 2 years ago when I bought mine from Innovative, and I waited several months from when they said they would be released (once they finally released them, they sold and shipped them like crazy).
i didn’t miss those times, actually i had my DA through that entire time. u said that they were all that was available, but didn’t say anything about when you bought them. and im letting you know that Avid is making them and im sure they are a better company then innovative. regardless of when you bought your mounts.
you got lucky and password had them in stock. most companies drop ship them straight from innovative. and they take forever. if u read my thread you would see that i waited 3 months and NEVER got ANYTHING!
so these are what you should expect your mounts to look like after 6500 miles or so of daily driving, and maybe racing once a week during the summer months:
^^what is the problem? Are you trying to say that the urethane is coming out of the mount? Do you have all 4 mounts? I have ~15k on mine with no issues.
yeah, the bushing is popping out. but kyle, my friend, i’ll have to agree (as i mentioned in your other thread) that i’ve had mine for about 16,xxx miles and have had NO problems. sucks bro, damn shame you’ve had such bad experiences with them.
those pictures are pretty scary. I understand that some users don’t have this problem, but to you kyle, do you have all there mounts? it seems wierd to me that the urethane would just come out like that. is it just pressed in? what are the condition of your other mounts? can anyone else attest to this happening to thier mounts as well? did you call inovative and send these pics?
i had three mounts from them and one in the front from honda.
KYLE, why dont you contact them instead of trying to bash them.
Same here 20K+ miles with no problems
read the first post. i contacted them. numerous times. they lied to me, and ignored me. They gave me horrendous customer service. thats why i bash them, primarily for their customer service.
EDIT: read the first post in my thread i mean. i posted the link above…
Is that a common issue with the poly bushings? The last time I checked my susp bushings looked to be seated, but I have been hearing a lot of problems with the poly bushings lately it seems.
I am trying to determine if 60A, or even the 75A, polyurethane Innovative mounts will give me that harsh vibration, or just a high frequency vibration?
When OEM mounts leave the world, the steering wheel looks like it travels back and forth about 1/4" when vibrating, and the dash almost looks blurry. I mean, how bad is the vibration with the Innovative mounts?
I’m just worried that i’m gonna get something close to a washing machine as far as vibration.
Back when I had just got my first da the front and rear mounts had ripped apart, and the vibration was so bad that the bolts on the side mount were sheered off. Even the bumper was bouncing from the vibration. I doubt solid poly mounts would be near that bad, but I would go with the softer rating if it was me.
I have a 1990 Integra 4 DR with an 94 B18 in it the mounts are alright and keep the motor straight but for some reason i keep breaking my driver side axle with these mounts. When i replaced them the rubber fell i mean FELL out of each mount and i never broke any axles. So idk if its the mounts or what but also i had to go to home depot and get a bolt for the driver side mount cause there was no threads
