Don’t really know how to put it but I just bought a set of jdm onepieces off of a fellow g2icer. But when I got home I started to clean them up and couldn’t figure out why one side came out good and the other came out really crappy…well at least the fog and corners came out nice. The headlights had the legend yellow foglight covers so I figured maybe they tried to clean the inside of the lense and didn’t clean it good enough. So I took the lense off only to find that they spray painted headlight area silver but left the fog and corners chrome. Maybe it was pealing I have no clue but of course as you may know, the light output sucks because there is nothing for it to reflect on. The other side is fine, just my drivers side got painted.
Here’s a pic, not as horribly noticable in the pics as it is in real life, but you can see it’s duller on the drivers side than the passenger
So to make the story short…where can I find chrome paint…real chrome paint, all I’ve ever come across is stuff that says it’s chrome but turns out to be a bright flat silver. Or if you have any other suggestions on what I can do…if worse comes to worse i’ll throw some of the aluminum foil duct tape in there…ghetto and don’t want to have to do it but it reflects better than silver paint
if it was painted maybe u can use Aircraft Remover… but would probably have to take the lens off… you’ll have too anywas if u were to paint it…
I already took off the lense, thats how I found out they painted just the middle section silver, taking lense off is really simple anyway. But I think they painted it because the chrome was peeling because the silver paint is peeling now and it’s just plastic behind it

But seriously, you could bake them, take them apart and put chrome tape in there like some people do to the 92-93 tails.
What’s wrong with my seatbelt covers?? There actually pretty comfortable, and at least I didn’t go rice with the japanese lettering and bullshit, they just have the acura symbol and say acura. Shit I don’t care anyway, I don’t follow everyones craze, i’m not everying has to be jdm…I would have kept my 3pieces but they were chipped and cracked to hell, and I got a good deal on these. I don’t roll to be like everyone else, that’s why I went out an modified a front lip that no one else did, no one is rocking the seatbelt covers anymore so why not?:nana:
And seriously, it’s easier to just use a heat gun, the silicone gets soft fast and the lense just pulls apart and the chrome tape is probably what i’m going to have to do, it’s just a huge pain in the ass for something like that
lol, chill, I was joking…well heat gun, oven, whatever, but I’m guessing that’s what you’ll have to do. I helped my friend bake his Prelude tails, pain in the ass.

lol…well you guys know how it is, one persons joking around about something and the rest of the people start bagging on you about it not realizing the other person was just playing around…but then again it is g2ic, so you dont see that too much, i’ve been looking at the DA threads on Honda-Tech…those guys don’t quit when one person starts, I’ve just gotten used to stopping it after the first person…I’m sure you understand bacardi, so just to be a man i’ll say i’m sorry if I came across a little snappy about it
LOL, no worries…it’s always hard to tell what emotions people are trying to convey over the internet, that’s the problem with it. But overall on here everyone is pretty nice.
