Instaling power windows

so my question is how would i go about installing power windows. i did try to search but it was all to confusing. i have 92 rs and i was wondering if the harness would have the direct connections becuase i have heard that honda puts the connections in if you want to install other features later down the road.

i got my car over summer and it came with power locks (after market) and the passenger one rarely works now and some times the driver one stops working

my car has something like this

mines hooked up to my alarm, i have a viper alarm so the power from the locks goes to the little viper box and that is connected to the battery not sure if that is any help but that is how mine is set up, need to get new little motors

There are a few things you can do, but no the wiring and plugs are not there.

You can get a kit, Spal makes a pretty good one, comes with everything.
You can get the kit and use stock switches, door harnesses and with some you could add the wiring to the the fuse box/dash harness so you need only plug in the relay and the fuses, you could even just get GSR doors with the door panel, [good luck with that, in good shape, in the same color as your car and interior], maybe just the door harnesses and the power window mechanism.:corn:94

with thoes Spal kits does it come with a track for my window or dose it not even need that?

i did this to two rs integra … if you want it factory done you need both switches, both door pannels, both door wires, an both door regulators? an the main wiring for the body ( it goes to the fuse box, tail lights power annt. basic front to back of car) it not hard just time need to remove interior it all plug an play sorry long post lol

yea well i got a guy who is parting out his GS-R and he is selling me the panels, all the wiring (so he says since im no pro)for $100 for both what ya think of the deal?

it cool if you get every thing i said an the wiring is going to be a bib bundel …it goes from fuse box down drive side to the rear tail ligts an then up the other side a little an goes in to the hatch …hooks up to the fuel pump …an crosses over under the frnt seat for passanger door for windows an power mirrors …so yea it cool an it will be all factory in factory colors you will be just fine good luck

hmm seems good its exact color of my car. why does it go all the way to the tail lights and fuel pump. lot of labor lol

[QUOTE=Mexicanpollo;1991480]with thoes Spal kits does it come with a track for my window or dose it not even need that?[/QUOTE]The Spal kit comes with everything you need.

If you can get all the stuff from a GS-R for $100, do that, it’s a better deal, a Spal kit will cost at least that on eBay, and will not look stock.

Not sure why you would need the rear harness, [unless it’s a 4 door] although you will need the door harnesses and if you can get the dash harness do so, the wiring needed to go to fuse box and pass door is in the dash harness, with it the job becomes plug and play, well plug and play after you pull the dash and install dash harness and install door harnesses and regulators into the doors.:whisper:94

yea thats what i thought. the only thing is what if i buy the stuff and still dont get what i need where do i go from there?

The main things to get are the regulators, door harnesses, and door panels with switches, when I have done power windows in Honda/Acura, either stock or the Spal kit, we make our own power window, [power door lock/power mirror] dash harness, that way there is no dash pull.:D94

and the track for the window as well right?

in 90-93 tegs the power window wiring is not in the dash wiring it is in the main wiring that coms from the fuse box… that why if you want to make wires then yes you dont need it … if you want it all stock an factory (so if theres a problem you can look it up ) then ues you want stock but any ways that why you need stock main wiring harness from the car like i said the power window wires are not in the dash … you can even follow them an see they go under the seat an not to the dash … just my .02 an i have done this before twice so i do know what i did …

I am hoping someone can help me out. Hear me out.

I have a car I am doing a auto to manual swap in. The auto is the car I am building (power sunroof, windows, locks, ABS). I had a manual donor car (no power options). I used the engine/ecu harness that is under the dash out of the 5 speed donor. I also swapped the abs brakes out to non-abs brakes.

The connectors for the body harness (from dash back) from the engine/ecu harness (under dash). On the passenger side the manual ecu/engine harness has a 3 wire connector, the connection on the body harness has like a 20 wire pink connector?

How do I do about wiring in the windows/doorlocks?
