Install day for my 93 GSR #708 !! Springs, rims, valve cover, intake, headlights, etc

I collected a bunch of parts and finally took a day to install everything. Car was bone stock.

16" Drag DR-31 rims
Tein S Tech
Type R valve cover
Intake
Headlights
amber turn signals
B&M short shifter
fresh wash/wax

wow. thats a lot of stuff to go on at once. big difference for you i bet. its almost a different car now…

Nice, where did you get the plugs for the license plate holes?

Call around to all your local dealers, you might find a set of bumper-plugs in stock.

The car looks good man. I’m normally not a big fan of those headlights, but on white they look much better.

How does it feel?

I was not so sure on the headlights either but for $100 they look better than the stock ones…The Teins are a little soft but I like the ride hight and the wannabe type r rims

looks very good

damn i like those headlights.
I would order a set right now after seeing your pics… if my upper radiator support wasn’t bent to shit.

I still don’t know if i can fix the upper support enough for 1 piece headlights.
its cleaner than in this pic but you can see the left and right side are bent at the fenders, and the lights aren’t fully bolted in.
if i can get it straight i want to get those 1 pieces and 2 new fenders since driver side is broke and passenger side isn’t quite right either.

the rad support is replaceable. it is only spot welded in place. it’s very easy to remove.

yea, I know they make a drill bit to remove spot welds. but the new one should be welded in and i don’t have the stuff for that.

it’s the biggest issue i have with the car for sure, i want to fix it more than anything else but it’s worse than just the top support.
the 2 things under the upper support are bent as well, and then there are lower parts that could be bent.
seems like a bit too much to get into solo with no experience, and too expensive to take it to a shop because for what i’d pay there i may as well buy a welder (not sure what kind).
here’s a diagram of the front, http://parts.sonsacura.com/images/parts/Acura/fullsize/392795.png

but i don’t want to thread jack, If i get brave and pull my lights and bumper off to see how bad it is i will start a thread.
just been putting it off because I’m worried that I wont be able to get it back together once i start taking screws out.

wat does #708 stands for

Thats the manufacturing number, he has gsr #708

You can always just drill out the old support yourself and send it to a shop to have them weld it in. That’s what BLKACK did, check out his thread

wow just found out my cuz got #23 hehe

man looks good, got any befor pictures?

If you look at my build thread you can see the steps i took to do my core support, it wasnt hard at all and it was basicly a drill off and weld on the new one with a few more steps cause my frame rail was a little messed up

I do…and some more new ones

gsr looks nice and clean. :D:drool:

looks good. i almost bought the rota circuit 10s which are the same as urs. but i went with the rota rbs instead

bookmarked your thread. thanks.

don’t think i can do it at this point unless i could find someone confident enough locally (around Tallahassee Florida) to lend a hand start to finish.
pretty sure the frame rails are fine though, i pulled the bumper off and the only stuff that looks bent is the upper support and the pieces behind the lights, the vertical piece between the upper and lower support on the driver side but its minor, no crinkles.
the reason the bumper & hood don’t line up is the metal part of the bumper itself is dented in a good half inch where it bolts up to the car on the passenger side and the middle is pushed in a bit.

if i can get the top support straight (with lights out and bumper off, my giant C clamps and hammers should work)
and replace the bumper.
it should all line up damn close enough to slap some ebay 1pieces in it and call it done until i can afford everything needed to do the drilling and welding.

again, sort of off topic. sorry. I’m done.
feel free to split my posts off into a new thread if needed.

i almost bought the rota circuit 10s

They are identical to the Rota Torque not the 10’s but very similar
