Installation of Spoon style mirrors

looks ugly to me

Your entitled to your opinion; some people hate it, others like it. I get this alot.

I know I already posted about the one pieces, & I don’t mean to rag on your style, but there’s one thing I’ve been thinking about…

You do realize that the Shoyoshina badge you’re sporting is the equivalent to saying you havie a learners permit, right? It’s for first year drivers in Japan, to signify that
“Hey, I don’t know shit about driving so steer clear of me, because I may end up wrecking your car.”

As I said if you like it then that’s fine, do what you do, just giving some constructive criticism. I used to have a Kanahera badge. It means
“Hey, I’m elderly & probably can’t drive well anymore, so watch out.”

Really doesn’t make sense when you think about it, huh?

If you wanna be JDM then that’s OK, but there is a limit, & puttting inappropriate badges on your car is a dumb trend, coming from uneducated people. This coming from someone who used to buy into the “Great Church of JDM” hype.

BTW- If you wanna impress people in Japan, bring over a totally stock USDM G2. They use USA parts to different; like 3 piece headlights, USDM sidemoldings,& markerless fenders. Ironic, huh?

:getsome::manual:

Corniest quote ever: “Get yours today! JDM is IN!”

I appreciate, and welcome constructive criticism, (I only hate ignorance and immature comments). Truth is, I know about the badge and what it signifies. I attended car shows and the badges drew positive attention, hence the reason why they still remained. I’m due for alot of changes on my teg. 2009 is when all these changes will (hopefully) take place. Smaller wheels, no badges, either a Mugen style kit, or 93 bumper with JDP lip, clear fogs with legend caps, or 1 pieces. I’m also debating painting the car solid Laguna Seca Blue. I posted many images on Honda-Tech on USDM jams, and Far east meets of Japan and you’re right, they love USDM styling. I’ll post when my Teggy is cleaned up. Thank you for the feedback, much respect h93da6.

My Wakaba is going to look great on my refridgerator.

i personally love the yellow fogs i would take those off your hands when you get new shit XD and my drivers side corner is cracker, maybe take that type-r lip off you i personally like it… like the other guy said everyones got their opinion. i should get one of those Soshinoya badges cause im a pretty new driver XD still get nervous some times when im on hills in traffic XD

wish i had more time and money for my car though =[ first thing i did when i got my car was got a sub from a buddy for 80 bucks!! alpine type-r with a blaupunkt amp. everything was good than windows broke took me like a few months to recover from having to pay for a new new ignition everything hahahaha

New driver?! No wonder your light is cracked! Lol j/k man. Patience will make your teggy look good. It never happens over night. Besides, you live on the west coast man, you have an advantage in obtaining great parts. It’s a bit tougher over here. I noticed you’re new to the site, welcome. I can say that this site is great, and many of the people registered are respectful and very helpful. I’ve had my car the same for too long, and I can’t wait for postive changes. Best of luck on your build , try not to destroy any more of your windows  . Document your progress take photos, you’d be surprised how far you get. Keep us posted.

well i didn’t break the windows the main power switch died since its a 16 year old car. so far right now i got DC 4-2-1 header, i forgot what brand lame axle back exhaust, sony deck, sub, ebay intake, aluminum rad. and tokico struts going to install some spoon replica’s over christmas break and hopefully put on my sportlines and make something in the trunk so my sub will be bolted to something.

thats day 1

and here is how it is now

not much different i mean i’ve only had the car since late july.

Your car is extremely clean, go for the JDP lip, and one pieces with a kick ass drop. And since you’re in CA definetly secure the car. No spoon mirrors, how’d that work out for ya?

confused how did what work XD

oh i got a viper alarm. its a bit old but i mean if you kick my tire the alarm goes off and its pretty loud

The spoon mirrors. Did you get it to work? I don’t see them on your car. Good thing you’re secured.

ohhh im gonna do that once winter/christmas breaks starts along with my springs and than im also gonna clean up some of my wiring for my sub and such. hopefully put in upper strutbars too. also gonna buy a chunk of wood and build a new trunk thing dont know what its really called cause the OEM one is that shitty like plastic thing that bends when i put my sub on it hahaa.

plans will be hopefully done by new years.

also im hoping to paint my door handles but i need to find a matching spray paint cause right now my door handles are nearly pink

anyone know what size screws to use?? or how to find out? because i would really like to get these on?? i think i might have drilled the hole in the metal too big any ideas???

It doesn’t really matter much man, there light as anything so whatever fits.

I think im going to home depot today or some time soon and im going to just bring the mirrors and find out which ever ones fit.

i did it yesterday!

just wondering, if the usdm trunk floor thing is that shtty plastic, what came on the jdm tegs?
