has anyone ever done this? there used to be one there before but some of the splices are missing the lengths of cables that match the module harness. I am trying to figure out which color wire goes where. yet another part of my wiring nightmare…
Yes I have, many times, do you have the wiring diagram for the 530T?
I recommend you install the 530T in the drivers door, then you will only have to run 3 leads into the door, alarms ground out when armed, and an EXT output, both are low current grounds so only thin gauge lines are needed, 22ga - 18ga, the 3rd lead will be the power wire, it needs to be at least 14ga, and fused, 20A, [just use the 20A that comes with the 530T, [do not leave fuse inside the door:think:] also the 530T module should be on the inside of the vapor barrier.
The wires in the car you need are found at the drivers power window switch’s harness plug and are
Drivers window, (up) red/blue (down) red/yellow.
Pass. window, (up) blue/red (down) blue/yellow.
