I was wondering if someone here knows an easier way of installing the JDM/USDM armrest without removing the interior carpet. Also, are the hole already there for installation or do i have to re-drill? If so, are they already marked?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!!
This has been covered a hundred times. You have to cut the carpet. be careful on the driver side as there are two wires in teh area where you have to cut the carpet. The front holes are already dripped and threaded. The rear holes have to be drilled. The easiest thing to do is use self tapping screws or bolts. The factory hardware kit for the armrest uses a rivet nut for the rear hole. If you search I believe that someone posted the mounting instructions in pdf.
ive searched but nothing has come up… can you link me to some of them? im trying to find a way to do it w/out cutting the carpet…
i just drilled mine over the carpet
