[SIZE=“4”]Hello
I know this is a really easy process, but I just have a few questions for you guys, as I’ve never done an exhaust before, and you all probably have.
I’m replacing from the header back.
Question 1: Do I have this in the right orientation? If I just tighten it a little more would that be fine?

Question 2: Would it be easier to assemble this before installing the downpipe/cat?
Question 3: What order should I install the header/cat/cat-back exhaust?
Question 4: While taking out the old header, should I take it out in 1 piece or two? If two, how do I get to those bolts/nuts connecting header/downpipe? If one piece, will it slide out under the car without removing anything?
Last question: When Installing my new 4-2-1 header, do I assemble it first or not?

Thanks much
Sam
I have never personally done this before, but the method I would use to go about doing it would to be disassemble everything starting from the back of the card towards the front, then install from the engine to the back of the car. In other words:
Uninstall:
- Stock muffler and piping
- Stock cat
- Stock header
Install:
- New Header
- New Cat
- Exhaust system
Make sure you torque everything to spec.
Sorry I know this may not be much help but like I said I’ve never done it before, but I’ve watched exhaust shops do it to my car numerous times and this is the order they go in.
the stock header should slip out the bottom with a little finess and as for the new set up i would put the header in as one peice bolt it up then the cat followed by the exhaust peice by peice utilizing all the hangers then tighten all the bolts and you should be done. go front to back thats the easiest way to do it in my opinion and personal experience. hope this helps a little
