first of all i did search and nothing i needed turned up so ill ask.
i got a free sony head unit from a buddy but it doesnt have an aux port to run my ipod and i have no antenna so i cant listen to radio or use a fm tuner…
any suggestions?? also on a side note, my hid ballast make a high pitched whine that makes my shitty reception even worse, im sure this aint normal but any ideas? all comments are must appreciated

If the head unit does not already have aux inputs you cannot “add” them to it. I can’t eve thing where to start to tell you how wrong that thought is…

If your Sony HU is a CD changer control unit an adapter is avalable to turn the CD port into a changer port.
Another option is to get a “hard wired” FM modulator, an antenna is not needed for it to work.:whisper:94
Hey man, my deck is Pioneer and as long as you have a ‘CD CHANGER’ input you can do this. You just have to isolate or find out whichc wires are which…
Once you know this, you grab yourself a 3/8 stereo jack from the source and you hook up the R and L = and - to the appropriate place on the jack…Set your deck to AUX and you are set!
this worked flawlessly on mine and saved me the 60 bucks.

How do you know your ballast is the culprit that’s making the high pitched noise? High pitch noises are a sign of a bad ground somewhere. Do you have a system in your car… maybe you ran the ground together with the power lines thus may cause a whining noise.
Go back and check all your grounds coming from the ballast or sound system…

Ditto! Running wires in the car is the worse! I hate having to take off panels here and there just to hide and run the wires… oh well… you gotta do what you gotta do right…
