installing JDM visors...is this correct?

HEy gus, i just mocked up my JDM visors ( just clipped them, didnt use the tape yet) and i was wondering if this is right. it looks right, but the rubber molding is pushed out so far the window catches on it. you hafta kinda push on the glass and close the door slowly.

???

Whats up with people and posting such horrible pictures? This is the third thread where I can barely tell what I’m looking at.

if you installed visors and you could help youd more than likely know what youre looking at. if i got too far away, you wouldnt be able to see the point of the picture.

so if you cant help dont even post.

Probably have the clips on wrong turbo.

Wow, just wow. Now next time, before you try and be a smart ass, read the links you post. Ive previously read every single one of those, plus some you missed.

Nice try, but you fucked up…turbo.

Now can anyone REALLY help? In all the pics i see of them installed, they all sit and line up just like mine, and the clips are holding EXTREMELY tight. Didnt tape them yet, im gonna wait till i paint the car. Its just that small part of the molding pushed down that stops the window, the drivers side window hit the molding before i even installed the visors, now both do. I have to either push on the window and kinda tuck it under the clip and then shut the door, or shut the door with the window down and then roll the window up. Or else leave the window down a tiny bit all the time.

Ask Rcoop2 he has window visor on his da.

yea i seen that in one post, i messaged him. Thanks

it seems like the double sided tape is barely even gonna touch anything.but they look perfectly lined up just like Rcoop’s

seriously i know theres people here that have them, please help!

:worry:

If the pics are really that bad, i can try to get better ones. someone has GOT to be able to help.

251 views and noone can help…seriously?

i was gonan write a Teg tip on installing them since there isnt any i could find for the DA, but if i cant be 100% sure mine are correct, how can i write a tip?

I have them on my car. I had help installing mine, so I don’t remember the best…

I’ll look at them when I get off work.

Thanks. i just need to know exactly how the clips go in. and if the tape on the visors is supposed to stick to the black metal trim above the window or not.

Hmm anyone?

white92LS531, the clips have to go under the big rubber strip. It seems that you have it over the big rubber strip. The tape does stick to the metal strip, be careful when lining up everything. I’ll take some pics when I get home from work.
Redline aka Ralfy help me with mine. I’ll give him a call and ask him to take a look at the clips in the pics you provided.

if i put the clips under that strip thats bulging out, the window will come in contact with the clip. is that how its supposed to be?

what does the tape stick to exactly?

i have my clips in between that black metal trim and the window seal. they hold tight and they seem to line the visors up correctly, however the problem with the window hitting the seal is there. i just couldnt see aotehr way to get them in.

put it this way, in one tutorial it said “if you remove the metal window trim, youll be able to see how they go in”. and i couldnt tell at all lol.

the back

the front arch

the middle

After looking at mine and now looking at yours, I think that you got it right.
Hope these help. Wow! I haven’t lifted the cover off my teg in a long time.

hmm i guess maybe i need to adjust my window. i looked at it today though and if i adjust my window any more loose there will be a gap between the window and the outside seal. ill probably just tap my window switch and leave them down like a centimeter.

thanks alot for the pics.

btw what does the trim tape stick to on your car? the painted body or the black metal window trim?

White, the tape sticks on the window trim.
I didn’t have to adjust my window at all.
The clips are difficult to hook under the little lip but once it clips and hook on to the lip you will know. Then you’ll have to line up the visor (it helps to have 2 extra sets of hands at this point), line up the clips with the holes in the visor…
then stick the visor to the window trim.
Good luck br0.
Throw up some pics when you have them completely installed.

i pushed HARD on them fucking clips and they dont wanan go any farther than they are now so im convinced its right. the tape however doesnt look like is gonna come in contact enough to stick, in some places it sits perfectly flush but some places it looks abit sketchy.

i really wont know till i actually do a final install, buti have to paint first so thatll be awhile.

You’ll be fine…the visor have to be flexed in to the correct shape, the tape will hold it in that position and the clips will lock everything in place. I’m so glad we have this type of visors. I would dread if they looked like all the other Honda ones.
