yes it IS mechanical and NO im not getting electrical b/c the electrical system is having enough problems. anyway, do i just remove the stock sensor, get a smaller NPT fitting for my guage and put it in place of the stock one???
if not where should i put it
do i need to get a 1/8" BPT fitting to fit in the stock temp sensor location???
where is the best place to tap into the oil pan for the mechanical oil temp guage???
For my oil temp gauge I made a whole in the back-top-middle but make sure you don’t drill into anything inside of it and ruin something, just be careful and if you have the Helm’s Manual try to pin point where the oil pump is or better yet you could take off the oil pan itself and do it like that but it’s up to you.
