integra LS restoration from Mesaexport.com!

Hi guys, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce this USDM DA integra restoration project we are working on.

First things first, let’s clear something up. DA integras were never sold in europe. This is a USDM integra import. In my country there are probably roughly 8 DA integras, I think 4 USDM imports and 4 JDM imports.

So this was how it looked like when it was from the previous owner:

However, the owner had the car in a low setting and smashed the oil pan of the b18 engine. Then, he decided to drive it home instead of towing it. So the engine obviously broke.

So the previous owner decided to swap the engine. However he wanted to do something uncommon. He wanted to do a b16 swap, with the auto gear box. This obviously wouldnt work here as we only had manual b16’s and he thought that a manual swap was too expensive. So his next course of action was trying to sell the car for parts. Nobody needed parts however (see da integras were not sold in europe) so he wanted to scrap the car.

This is where we stepped in. We bought the car to basically rescue the car from the scrapyard and now we are going to do a manual B16 swap so it will be back on the road again!

Here is how it looks like at the moment:

hell yes… where this thread is going is full of win:gunleft:

I really like that lower door colouring. It reminds me of a Hachi and I never thought it would work well on a DA. Today I learned that I guessed wrong.

 for the rescue!
