Intermitent heavy misfire with CEL and no codes.

First off, I have a 91 Integra with a PR3 B16a from a DA6. I haven’t had troubles like this before, and i’ve had the swap for about 8 months now. Therefore, it is very unlikely that it is a result of something I did during the swap.

As of 30 minutes ago, I got off of the interstate, going down the exit ramp, pulled up to the red light, and my check engine light came on as the motor went into a heavy misfire while trying to quit running. I had to “two-step” it to keep it running. I putted it down the road a bit, and pulled into a parking lot, and pulled the passenger floor-board carpet back to read the codes put out by the CEL. There was NO blinks, instead, the little light just stayed on.

I then shut off the motor and put the key in the off position, then I restarted it to see if the CEL light was still on, and YES, it was still on, and there wasn’t any codes put out by the ecu. The little light just stayed on as it did before. For my next move, I shut it off again, then restarted it once more, and the CEL was off, and then I rechecked the ecu, and this time the little light wasn’t on at all. Additionally, there were no codes stored in the ecu history.

This has happened on two other occassions. It is most definitely one hellacious intermitent problem that is pissing me off. I am starting to think that my ecu has gone bananas .

Please let me know something if you’ve encountered anything similar.

Thanks in advance!
