Oh, so i am really starting to regret buying the $16 pads… lol So much freaking brake dust my white rims are turning black :bang:

Next paycheck i’m not cheaping out lol

Well quite a big update…

looky what i picked up with about 70k miles on it! B18B1! have only looked in a bit, but it has great compression, has no clunking or anything. I will know the real health of it once we get the head off!

Found it on craigslist and the guy was leaving cross country the next day and needed to get rid of it. So I through him an offer and he called me right back and said come get it. Came with power steering pump, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and a few other random parts.

Got an engine to build now :]

Oh, and I picked it up for $150!

Got bored over the weekend, found a guy on craigslist barter looking to trade his 7" touch screen dvd for a regular radio. I jumped on it, got it installed and opened it and of course, it didn’t fit.

So, since i had plans for the center vent anyways. I decided to go ahead and try it there. The vent was a complete B$@# to remove, but I did it.

Here’s final results. Just gotta fully secure it so it will never move or be able to move without removing some bolts.

It’s been awhile since i’ve updated so here goes.

I’m going to get as much power that I can from my car before i can get the parts to slap my turbo on, and I figured if the deal is right i will add headers.

Found B series DC 4-1 header on craigslist for $25
Friend gave me a test pipe
Will be purchasing 92-00 civic half size dual core radiator next week since I will be needing to for my futrue plans.
And also plan on going to get a chipped ECU, there’s a tuner local to my area so I wanna go and give them a shot to see if they can help me. If not, I’ll make a trip to Tacoma and go to Richtuned.

Going to secure my radio soon, it fell off its bracket so it slid to the side and in a bit. And I’m going to get some of those damn cup holders from a taurus when I get the chance as well to cover the huge gaping hole where the old radio went. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh and my Dad broke my climate control to where its always on heat even when it’s put on cold… Dammit, so now I have to fix that as well.

Anyways, that’s all for now. Oh, I heard something about a car meet at the Edmunds Dicks Burgers… Anyone know anything about that or any other local meets?

Thanks.

UPDATES!

So i found this little gem on ebay for 69.99 with free shipping, fan included!

And here’s a pic of the DC 4-1 header I got for $25! Yeah its a bit weathered, but it has no dents and looks straight!

After getting those, I spent most of my Saturday off and on putting them in. The header sucked cause i had to take out the front three mounts to move the engine up to make space to manuever the header in, unfortunately it wasn’t enough so i dropped the subframe(?) and then it of course went right in. lol After putting it back, the header and subframe had a small half inch clearance but just to be safe, i hit it in with a hammer to make an inch of clearance haha.

The radiator was interesting, i took the old harness off my old fan and wired it to the new one and it worked great. I made a few custom mounts to hold it steady and secure. Bent the subframe in a bit where the bottom tube was ruubbing but other than that i had no problems and its working great. Just as good as the original radiator.

I’ll take better pictures in the day today, but here’s what it looks like now…

Oh and Saturday, i’m going to RichTuned to get my ECU chipped… yay! (hopefully)

why didnt you paint it before you installed it? or at least wrap it

I liked the way it looked, didn’t wanna put any money and more time into them. lol

Unfortunately, RichTuned was moving that weekend. So thats the only bad part to my weekend. But ish happens!

I still really want to work with him, hasn’t been answering my calls or texts but i’m sure its just cause he’s busy moving. If I can get ahold of him this week I will ride down there again to get it done.

But i’m not wasting gas thinking he will be open like last time, least it was a fun drive there. lol

Think i’m going to attempt to sand my hood and primer it til i can get my color to spray on it.

So, we’ll see how that goes haha

You like the way rust and oxidation look? Why are you repainting your car then?

I liked the way my Headers looked cause it was something different, and since i’m getting my turbo manifold soon I saw no need to waste more money to make it :gay: “pretty” lol

Has nothing to do with my car’s paint.

What size/offset wheels and tires are you running on your DA? Sorry guys not trying to hijack the thread but I am now to the forum and can’t figure out how to Pm people. You can reply with a Pm if you would like. Thank you. And btw, the integra looks sweet man i like seeing the progress!

Thanks!

Update guys!

I went to a few junkyards looking for cup holders from a taurus… Came back with a little more!

Here’s what the finished product looks!

Also, found these things called one piece headlights? Anyone ever heard of them? hahaha

I saw the integra, brand new in the lot and saw the jdm one pieces still sitting there! The best part is? I got them for $37.50!!!

They hardly need any work. Driver side is good, passenger side needs sand and polishing, so might as well do both.

Oh, and I got them for $37.50!!!

I hate you…

Lol Sorry man, just got lucky!

Update:

So I got my coilovers from Progress.

They are the CS2s and I honestly could not be any happier with my purchase. They ride very smooth, no bounce if any. I don’t have it as low as I can go, i can still go about an inch lower on the coils but i’m happy with the height and how good it looks right now.

I also got my rims sand blasted to be powder coated soon, I think i’m going to go with white. Just gotta grind down the rough spots and the curb marks and blemishes and i’ll be happy.

Oh, and I installed the one pieces… tada.

So onto the pics!

Before:

After:

Like I said, I am really happy I went with Progress Auto. They are great group of people and have an outstanding customer service! Will definitely be dealing with them again if i have the chance!

The rims I just had sandblasted and will be getting powder coated. I’m positive i’ll be going with white, but who knows haha

Here’s how they turned out, they’re a bit rought in some areas so i’m going to be grinding them and fixing the curbs but luckily there isn’t much.

That’s it for now. Going to be getting a alarm next, since it’s be stupid not to if I do anything else.

can you choose the spring on those?

Yes you can! They offer: 250/350, 350/350, 350/500

I chose 350/350 and am very happy with the ride

Edit

nvm answered my own question lol

So…

I’ve been looking for a daily so i can just start tearing the Integra apart.

Turns out my friend was selling his car, a 1992 Honda Accord ex 4 door. The cool part of it all?

It was my very first car when i was 16. I spent 2 weeks of my summer replacing the engine in it by myself, and modded it like any other 16 year old, put a sound system in with no alarm and a fart cannon from Schuck’s/O’reilley’s haha I sold it to my friend for $2000 and always regretted selling it.

So now that you have that back story, here’s the present.

Friend came to me asking if i was interested in it since I’m always working on cars and if i wasn’t he was gunna junk it. Car had new tires, new stereo system and a few things here and there, just had a blown engine… So i offered him $350 and he said all he wants is the new tires and its a deal. I later decided to try oversized bearings… still knocks, least i can drive it around the block/driveway now

So plan is to get an engine and plop it in and make it my daily.

Update 01/14/13
[/SIZE]

So I found a donor car over the weekend! It’s also a 92 accord 4 door ex, except a 5 speed.
Found it for really really cheap…
Engine sounds and runs superb.
Downside? Front end collision, clean title still though!

Since my accord has a few minor things, i’m going to of course switch some stuff over like the doors, the passenger fender, the driver seat. Minor shit like that.
Hopefully I can find some time between my two jobs so i can pull the motors, some things on the engines since ones an auto and the other is a manual i will have to switch over the throttle bodies and a few other things. Hopefully I can do it all on Sunday since I don’t work at all that day… who knows.

Here are the cars…

Main car:

Donor car:

Got a lot of work ahead of me, but it will be so nice commuting back and fourth to work with an automatic!

Then I can start tearing down/detailing/cleaning the Integra and start building the engine!

Have a good one folks!
