is dark tint for ricers?

I am seriously thinking about stripping my 10% window tint. I think it makes the car look some what tacky. What do you think?

If you like the dark tint, then keep it.

I really don’t see how dark tint is related to ricers…

Tint helps keep your car cool in the summertime so why the fcuk not? If it’s on there already… just keep it…

plus if you do take it off the glue is a bitch to remove i say keep it it helps to cool the inside when the suns beating down on you car and helps to prevent fading colors.

I personally, got my tints put on (10%) back when I was in high school and I used to f*ck around with different chicks lol. It allowed me to get away with ALOT of shit. But i think no tints gives it a much cleaner look (but that’s just me). I

Ive have have tinted all my cars with 20% around. It makes a huge difference in the southern heat.

I live in the pacific northwest so the heat isnt really an issue. But i agree you can get away with smokin a blunt or gettin some brain with tint but no tint looks cleaner.

I think it’s very funny how so many people now think tint is a “visual mod” rather than a damn good substitute for no A/C.

I did 5% on my buddies Ranger, looked fantastic, mix that with his “New Car” air conditioning (it was an '05), it was BEYOND cold in there, haha.

IMHO tint is better on ANY car. It doesn’t do anything that’s unreversible. The old guys with their classic cars would always give you crap for it, but now you notice them tinting their 57 chevys and chevelles and mustangs. I’ve even seen uber-expensive hemi-cudas and gs stage 1s with tint, as well as old Jags and beamers. Why not when you can always just take it back off if it becomes an issue. I do, however, think that 20% is enough though. It gives you just enough privacy while not pissing off the man too much. If you go from all tinted vehicles to one without tint, it sucks, alot. Feels like everybody is staring at you, sucks in the summer, is bad for your interior, etc.

Living in the PNW it seems like whenever i drive at night and its raining i have to roll my dam window down whenever i need to make a left turn onto a road with a median cause i cant see shit out there.

certain vehicles I would tint. I had tint on my 2000 zx2. On my DA I doubt that I will ever put tint on it because of her color.
Your DA looks pretty nice with the tint so I vote to leave it on there.

Ricer really? This ricer shit has gone too far. If you have tint and like it keep it. If you have it and can’t see at night or whatever just don’t like it then get rid of it. Depending on how long it’s been on there will determine how hard it is to get the glue off. Don’t let people determine how your car looks. Do what YOU want.

Another reason why I would lean a little toward. The tint side is, well basically ur interior isn’t as exposed. I mean no tint to me looks clean, but to just think everyone can see EVERYTHING thts inside would make me paranoid. Sure. U can always hide shit,…or take shit with u like your radio face, wallet, ipod…blah blah blah. But still, these hotboys out here are out to get ANYTHING (even a shift knob)…

back in the day we called the stock look “sleeper status”

any who, if you can’t see out of the car at night, thats reason enough to take it off, safety first! I’d say just take the tint off the front windows and leave the rear for better visibility at night.
