is it possible to convert single din to double din?

I have a single din wiring for my sony md but would really interested to convert to 2 din? is it pssible to do so?

Din is the size of the component. It has nothing to do with wireing.

You can place 2 din size units into the stock panel. You will need to make your own trim ring around the units and mounting brackets. I use plexiglass to make the trim ring and paint the rear side with flat black paint. It makes the other side a very high gloss black.
