is the foglight bulb suppose to be loose?

in the jdm headlights, is the foglight bulb suppose to be loose? for some reason my foglights do not work. im not sure if im missing anything. pictures would be helpful.

by the way where can i get bulbs. mines went out.

nope
when the bulb retainers are cliped in it should be solid

its not like the one in the usdm foglight. everythings solid in there, but in the jdm headlights the bulb just wobbles around. theres nothing to secure it.

can someone take a picture of the inside of there foglight.

thanks

I sold you the headlights. I opened one of them up to check out the bulbs and the made sure the yellow caps were in there. The bulbs were secured down?

there loose, unless thats just how there suppose to be. there not as secure as the ones in a usdm foglight housing

for some reason, as my brother slammed my trunk this morning the foglights began to work.

but now one foglight is brighter then the other.

weird. i think it’s something with the wiring. might want to double check everything.

bend the clip holding the bulbs in bend it so that when u tighten the clip it puts more pressure on the bulb.

i had the same problem. 1 being brighter than the other and the clip bending worked :).

also to the slamming trunk.
the fog lights come with a single wire, which is the power. but no ground wire.

SO< when the fog light sits in its socket and clipped down TIGHT with pressure. that seat is the ground for the bulb. when there is no pressure on the bulb the ground is not solid causing it to go on and off, or less bright than the other.

yeah, thats the thing. theres not enough pressure on the bulb. i dont know how to fix that. it turns on and off all the dayum time.

does anyone have any tips on making the bulb sit less loose in the housing?

the clips doesnt help much from not making it move around alot.

lol its not supposed to be lose
it has to be in there tight
what u do release the clip and get some pliers or use your hands and just bend the clip at the middle point. and then put it back in your light will be in tight

so the clip is the one that holds the bulb in place right. the clip is kinda springy?

thats right
add me on msn if you like be easier to help you out

i would, but i dont have msn bro. if anything i will let you know

alrite no problem. but that clip bending thing should fix ur problem cause thats what happend to my fog 1 side was brighter…and it worked for me.

will i did the clip bending and yes it worked, but didnt. it worked to hold it in place and to keep it from turning on and off, but for having one light brighter then the other that didnt work at all.

thats weird you probably got a bad ground somewhere then.

did you try putting in new bulbs?

i tried using the bulbs from the usdm fogs, but its still the same. ima try to buy some new bulbs pretty soon

how much brighter is it than the other?

its pretty bright. ill take a picture later tonight
