Is This true...about fuel pump

well what is the truth here…is the fuel pump really under the freaking gas tank…do i REALLY HAVE TO DROP THE TANK here…cause this is really pissing me off…\

thanks:dance::wtf::gunright:

yes.

dammmittttttt

oh well guess im getting dirty then…

actually the fuel pump is in the gas tank. not under. and i dont know what your pissed about all you have to do is remove the two nuts holding the straps on and the tank will come down.

i thought you can remove the pump under the rear seat

you have to unhook the pump from under the back seat and then under the straps like that guy said

The pump is not under the rear seat. That is the fuel sending unit. Not the same thing.

The pump is near the back of the car.

lololol this shiat is so funny…but yes i do know now that the fuel pump is under the car and yes release the two straps and wualala ur done…but Fu@# man this sucks in my old EJ Coupe it was under the back seat…well its ok boys just got the parts and will install tomorrow…lololol:rockon:

if you drop the tank, do you have to take out the sending unit cause of the wires under the seat?

There is no need to remove the sending unit first. You first have to unbolt the seat cushion to get to the wiring harness. Then you unplug it. After that you go under the car and disconnect a few hoses then drop the tank by removing 2 straps. Its also a good idea to drain the tank first, the OEM tanks have a drain bolt. Its much easier to remove when its empty.

oh ok. my tank is emty anyways so it should be easy process
