It had to come down to this. Member: Lococoin

This guy Lococoin just sent me an email demanding that I return his money by midnight friday or that he will go public here, so before this guy comes writing stuff here’s what happened.

He emailed me asking if I would sell him a shift linkage that I have for a 90-93 Integra, and if I would ship it to Canada. I told him that I never shipped anything to Canada so I wouldn’t know how to ship it. He explained how badly he needed it and that he would pay whatever shipping to get it there. Cause i’m such a nice person I told him I would since he needed it badly and I always try to help out fellow members here. Took my wife and I 4 hours that day to get all the documentation done and typed up, I had to get codes and crap for NAFTA and some other documents. I emailed him and told him that there’s a bunch of crap that I have to do and that it was going to take longer cause I was running late for work trying to finish this shit for him so he could get the linkage. He told me that he appreciates everything I’m doing and if I needed more money for my time to let him know. I told him that I don’t need more money, just glad to help. The next morning, because I work nights, I called UPS and found out what all I had to do to get this package to Canada. They told me everything I needed to fill out and sign and do. So I did more research and finally after another 3 hours I finished filling out all the certificates of origin, nafta documents, etc. on UPS. When I clicked on print on their site it said my session expired and now I had to do it allover again. I emailed him again and told him that it’s just plain going to take longer till I figured this crap out cause I was getting frustrated, and if he wanted me to send him his money back cause I knew he was on a deadline. He told me to keep trying if I could cause he really needs the shift linkage. Again since i’m such a nice guy I said ok.

As some of you know I came upon an emergency that cost me alot of money and time. In that period he sent me an email telling me to just forget about it and return his money. Because of everything that was going on I just forgot to send his $36 back for the shiftlinkage and shipping via paypal. I just plain forgot about it, no excuses I just forgot. To help me pay for the emergency that I had, I sold some stuff here and made a bit with the help of some great members and friends here that looked out for me. Had I remembered that I needed to send him his $36 I would of instantly because my paypal comes out directly from my bank account if there is no funds in the paypal account.

So today I get a nasty email from him telling me that I need to send his money back by midnight friday or that he will go public here. That just pissed me off. Couldn’t he just send me an email asking “Hey man where’s my dough?” Or even asked me why didn’t I sent it. I would of gladly gave him my explanation and sent him the $36 right away. I instantly took that as a threatning email demanding for shit and I plain told him “Fuck you” and for him to not be e-mailing me with his demands as if he was the shit or something.

Yeah I want to steal $36 from a member here. I talk to alot of you guys, and those who have met me know that I’m not hurting for $36. Hell! I give shit away if anything. If he was here I would of gave him that shift linkage just to get it out of my garage. No respect man.

So now after I replied with my nasty email, I told him that I would gladly send his money back minus paypal fees, shipping, and minus all the time I wasted just because of him being a dick about it. I forgot to mention to him that this will take place on Monday before midnight. I’m sure he will read it here. I have all e-mails that I have sent, and that he sent me, so I’m ready to dispute.

Give me some feedback people. Sorry this was so long. I know I was wrong to forget. So now we dispute about this transaction here now, not friday after midnight.

yah u told me the trouble u went through i thought this stuff was over. people need to learn to fucking chill here i’ve seen two people bad mouth u when they couldn’t even wait a week. it takes time to ship people. and after all those hours u went through i wouldn’t ship that either. whats with people being such assholes now. look at ur trader rating ur oblioviosly not going to steal his 36 bucks. i would take my sweet time to pay him back just to piss him off :giggle:

I really dont like shipping to canada, because of all the extra time and effort it takes. Despite the fact that those guys already usually complain that shipping costs are high. I have the same problem with shipping via UPS, so sometimes when you are almost done with the shipping label and ready to print out, you get some error message, and have to start all over again. gl with this situation though.

Why is it so difficult shipping to canada? I worked as a shipper for 2 years and all that was required for shipping from canada to the US was a NAFTA form (if it qualified), all the codes are available at custom’s websites. Just write down what’s in the box, weight, value, code and let UPS do the rest (besides, UPS is a broker themselves now). I’ve never had any problem shipping to the US from canada, what makes it so difficult the other way around?

Thats weird because i hav ebeen trying to get ahold of him becuase he told me he wanted to buy my shift linkage and stock exhaust manifold. and thing and i have sent him numerous messages on MSN asking him to E-mail me exatly what he needs and i can get the things shipped for him. so hmm…

wow! thats crazy man! i can vouch for you being a real cool guy and not someone that would scam someone for 36$ over a shift linkage! especially another member/owner. thats BS!

wow that sucks especially over 36 dollars. i think your reputation will be fine on here. ive personally dealt with you and can vouch for the fact that you are super easy to do business with. i also know how much it sucks when your being ignored after you send out some cash to some dude you dont know on the internet. hopefully this works out – later justin

Thanks all for your support in this matter.

I never sent anything to Canada, so i did not know everything one has to go thru. I mean you have to declare where the part was manufactured and a whole load of crap I did not know about. I can see how someone would be upset after not getting his money back after a certain time, but like I said I forgot and it wasn’t like he constantly sent me e-mails that I ignored.

I got an email from him today and he was upset because I called him a Dick. I apologized for that and explained that I was upset. He also said that I did not reply to numerous emails that he sent and I told him that he was making shit up cause the last e-mail that I got from him was on the 27th asking me to return his money. I replied to every single e-mail he sent me minus that one. he also said that I can go ahead and charge him for my time and charge him for the shipping. But that he did not get anything shipped to him and if I go ahead and do that, he will make a claim with Paypal with a copy of my last e-mail describing how I handle things.

I emailed him back telling him to make a claim if he so chooses to. I have all of his info and copies of all the paperwork that was done with dates that I will send to him with a receipt via mail describing what he is getting charged for and I will get a letter notarized. I will take pictures and have copies along with the e-mail that he sent me that clearly states how he wants me to commit fraud according to the North American Free Trade Agreement that I willingly accepted to do without truthfully knowing the consequences I will have all of that info ready for paypal if they should need it by mail, email, or fax. By law i’m covered. That should satisfy any claim against me.

Sucks that he came at me with threats of making a claim, cause I was just going to send his $36 and end it. But now I just have to get all legal and shit. In the end he will probaly end up owing me. :hmm:

I know I’m probably getting a little bit out of hand with this, but where’s the respect if I don’t?

Feedback please. I let him know that I made this issue public, so we can all hear his side. It’s only fair.

Thanks all!

Hey! will you sell the shift linkage for $36 shipped to him? That way he could get his linkage and problem solved. Let us know

Got another e-mail from him, this time asking me how can we resolve this matter like civilized human beings. I totally agreed and offered his money back in full, apologized for forgetting, and asked him to post here so we can make it clear that we can resolve this like adults and clear our names from any negativity.

wow, i step away from the boards for a few days and look at all the excitement. Seems to me that this whole thing was a bit of a misunderstanding. As for my 36 dollars, i could care less about getting it back. It was the principle that after two weeks of hearing nothing about my part being shipped, and then having my email about returning the money go unreplied, that made me draw the line and sent the curt email about getting my money back or i would post on here about the bad transaction.

I might be a new member here but i have sold to others on here without any problems and im sure they can vouch for me about that. In fact, i recall holding a bumper for a guy in good faith for weeks until he could have someone come over and pick it up for him. Anyways thats neither here nor there and am glad to see this whole thing is resolved.

WERD UP Tegfreak is 2 legit 2 quit… He is probably one of the most professional transactions I have had here in awhile. I appreciate his promptness and his sincerity. Resolving issues over spilt milk is one thing but resolving issues over money well yeah we all get testy about it. I hope you 2 gentleman have worked towards a goal and settled whatever dispute was there. I just went through this myself with VTEGRS, he sent a shipping tracking number after 3 weeks of no repsonse and I put a paypal dispute up. He still has not been on the boards to my knowledge or appologized (appology not needed). I have no hard feelings.

You know it is one thing if things come up or you have a tragedy. However, obviously none of us are Doctors cause we all have 0 patience. hahahahaha

Hehehe

So you all know despite all the bs, I just sent his money back in full.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

That would be me. I’m not going to take either side in this particular dispute, but wanted to at least say that loco’s telling the truth with this statement.

As for online purchases in general there is an expected amount of time one has to wait for something, however, after a certain period though, one begins to wonder if they’ll ever see any product or money back when all lines of communication seem to fall apart. In my opinion and from experience, the least a seller can do for the buyer is to keep them updated on where they are at with a particular item. I personally have bought items online and didn’t hear dick from the seller after I sent my money. The months (it seems) of waiting was frustrating because I was thinking I got scammed.

On the flip side, I have had sellers email me checking to see if whether or not I’ve recieved the package they had sent. This kind of feedback put my mind at ease knowing at least that they’re trying and not out to rip me off.

Let’s put it this way, we are all busy (work, school, girlfriends, family, whatever, etc). It’s not like we sell parts online full time so it may take time to send stuff off (especially if it’s crossing an international border), but keep the buyer informed with a quick email letting them know that there’s been a hiccup and that you’ll have it resolved by a certain time period.

That’s my two cents (Cdn) worth. That’s about 1.5 cents in U.S. funds.
