hey my freind signed up for g2ic but cant ask questions yet so im askin for him. he plans on throwin in an obx itb and wants to ask an estimate on how much it will cost to get it tuned.=]

he dosent have it yet but he plans on doin a obx with 32 mm ports with 550cc injecters on a vtec
Go with the hondata s300 for tuning the itbs
so if he buys the itb the s300 how much you think a shop would cost to tune
All shops are not the same so its hard to say. The ones I know of say $150 to 200hr
Either find a tuner that is familiar with tuning ITBs, or you better have dep pockets. Getting ITBs to run right is a bitch. You are pretty much stuck with tuning them with alpha-N maps or a hybrid of alpha-N and speed density.
I know there is a pretty nice tool set for ITBs in Crome that uses the hybrid map setup.
let’s ask the important question first. is he ready for ITBs? throwing them on a stock engine is kind of pointless in my opinion. Its generally accepted that it’s a power adder usualyl saved for the end of a build. Or a build is done specifically with the intention of using them.
Good point. Maybe you should take some of your own advice and quit trying to talk me into running set of ITBs.
