Hi, right now i have a short shifter that rattles off my RSR exmag exhaust, this is cuz it sits lower b/c it is a short shifter correct? Are usdm ITR shifters lower than stock ones or would it probably not hit the exhaust? thanks.
I’m not sure if it’s lower or not but I have the whole ITR linkage/shifter combo and a RS*R Exmag, no rattles.
The ITR shifter doesn’t really sit any lower, the bend in the shaft is different though. Closer to the armrest. If it’s rattling make sure they cut off some of the heat shields underneath. When they installed my B&M shorty they cut some of the shields off.
I just installed a JDM ITR linkage and shifter 2 days ago.
The Shifter does go SLIGHTLY lower then a stock DA shifter does due to its shorter throws. That said, not only does it NOT hit your exhaust, I put the heatshield back on and it doesn’t even hit the heat shield.
That’s OEM fitment for ya
