ITR short shifter on DA

I know this topic has been somewhat killed in a bunch of threads such as

covered in Teg Tips:

But… I thought I would post what finally worked for my 90 DA sourced from 2001 itr oem with part numbers.

…drumroll…

The G2IC ITR Short Shifter Guide for Dummies (like me):

#1: 1 @ 54113-611-505 CLIP
#2: 1 @ 54101-ST7-Z00 LEVER, CHANGE
#4: 2 @ 54105-692-010 WASHER, THRUST
#5: 2 @ 54107-SA0-010 BUSH, RR. JOINT
#12: 1 @ 54117-SD4-000 COLLAR, RR. JOINT
#13: 1 @ 54201-ST7-R00 ROD, GEARSHIFT
#14: 1 @ 54301-SR3-G00 EXTENSION, CHANGE
#23: 1 @ 90115-659-003 NUT, SELF-LOCK (8MM)
#24: 4 @ 91303-HA0-004 O-RING (11X1.9) (NOK)
#25: 1 @ 92201-08060-0H BOLT, HEX. (8X60)

All cost me about $150 shipped from a certain acura dealer in Florida

A couple of gotchas I ran into:

  • make sure not to over-tighten bolt #25. I did first time and it made for crunchy shifting
  • pin #28 used 8mm punch and mini-sledge to remove, worked nice. putting the new pin in was a bit of a bee-otch cuz it's newer and springier but I finally did it by 1st putting the old one back in, started driving it out a hair and drove new one in until it popped the old out.
Yeah, all the parts were necessary / highly-recommended. I think the DA "change extension" may work but prolly not as good as the ITR in this setup. My shifter now sits around 1" closer to me than it used to but most ppl think this is a good thing, boots not overly stretched :naughty:

nice write-up!!!

thanks. aside from the occasional clanking against the heat shield, seems to be working pretty nice so far :manual:

I’d also recommend grabbing a 94+ integra shift linkage as well. Both bars. makes a HUGE difference in the shifter feel.
